We ate here with friends in June. The restaurant is a bit touristy but it has a good atmosphere. You can get any kind of meat it comes around very frequently: chicken, crocodile, lamb, beef, ostrich you name it. You kind of feel a bit sick after about 20 minutes or half an hour, but the meat is all very... More

What's the big deal? I can eat dry chicken, port and beef anywhere. The only exotic food we ate was ostrich, which was sliced VERY thin and bull balls, which are better in Oklahoma as calf fries. Yes, there was a lot of food served, but much like any Brazilian steakhouse in the U.S. I found the food quality lacking... More

A novel restaurant with lots of choice and a good atmosphere. They also cater for vegetarians.

I was really looking forward to having some great steaks at the Carnivore. The experience was nothing short of disappointment. The meat was tough fit for the animals probably, not really for human consumption. Totally overrated and should be avoided.

Excellent mainly for meat eaters. The local drink (Dawa) served by Dr. Dawa is a must to try. Nice moment after a business day...

Granted I went there on a wednesday night and I was alittle creeped out that we had to go through a gate security check to get there (our cab driver said its a precaution against terrorists..what?), the restaurant was amazing. The food kept coming and the starters were salad and other little apetizers that were mostly vegetarian so that was... More

I went back to carnivore after 6 yeats and was a big disappointment. No more game meat. The placeis still nice but no reason to go anymore. Sorry

We were famished by the time we had reached Carnivore, which is how one should approach the task on hand here. The lunch was offered with compliment of our TO, which made it even more pleasant. The pork spare ribs were outstanding, and so was the Kenyan coffee. Absolute gem of an experience!

This place is unabashedly a meat eater's paradise. However, it is nice to know that vegetarians can also attend (though most likely you'd be there with a group of carnivores - if you're all vegetarians, I'm sure there is someplace more suited). The options for vegos are four or five vegetarian mains, which is fine. The meat-eaters approach is to... More
