I was excited to go to Carnivore to sample the endless meat and experience the atmosphere of this well known restaurant. We arrived at 6 and were seated promptly. Our server brought our drink order quickly. My friend was looking forward to having a Dawa(a tasty vodka drink made with lemon and honey). Dr. Dawa mixed the drink table side... More

This was included in our tour as we had a few hours in Nairobi post safari before our plane went on to Zanzibar. The place is a lot of fun and not for those with a small appetite - I would recommend going on an empty stomach and to skip breakfast if you are going for lunch :) We had... More

An experience not to be missed. Couldn't believe I could eat so much meat in one sitting. Give it a try... delicious!

Nice restaurant but the concept is getting a bit tired. Visited a few times for dinner and have enjoyed but it really is more for tourists. Odd problem they have is that the lighting is very bad which makes eating meat very difficult unless you dont mind ending up with a mouthful of fat or sinew.

For a fixed price, this restaurant rolled out meat all night. It is very touristy, right down to the surrender flag when you can eat no more. The variety is extensive and it was all well cooked and beautiful tasting. The only concern was that towards the end of our sitting, the food stopped being served and you had to... More

If you-re looking for something local or non-touristic, stay away. The place is a big show. But it is definitely a great experience and you get to try exotic meats that you probably would never be able to eat otherwise.

Don't get stuck in Nairobi traffic, but do attend this restaurant ! They serve every kind of meat and poultry (including some you've never heard of) for a fixed price. Everything is cooked over an open flame and carved fresh and warm table side. They accommodated our vegetarian and the sides dishes are nice, too.

If you're a visitor to Nairobi, your experience is incomplete without visiting the Carnivore restaurant and experiencing the meat rotisserie. The unchanging thing at Carnivore is the friendliness of the staff and their smile, always willing to go an extra mile. As this was lunch we didn't go to the meat section but headed to Simba Salon for salads (they... More
