Great ambience. I visited this restaurant in late 90s and it was a busier place. Now that the game meat is not allowed some of the charm is gone. Service is excellent and the layout is great.

I don't know where else you can go to sample as many variety of meat (Ostrich, Crocodile, Buffalo to name a few). Definitely overpriced for what its worth (although $30 for an AYCE is not outrageous per Western pricing). You will find no locals here but only Tourists. What you will take away is the experience . The food tasted... More

Not the place for vegetarians, though they offer a a few choices. The meat selection is not as before.

Even if it is a classic restaurant for tourists, the food is very good. Staff is kind and helpful. This restaurant is a good option to have a lunch at the end of the safari for example.

I went with business colleagues for dinner to Carnivore. The restaurant was very busy so I would recommend that you book a table. The food was very good and the waiters came around often to offer meat. We were so stuffed and realized that the flag on the condiments you have to remove to state that you surrender. The ambience... This is a fun restaurant even if you are not an avid meat eater. We had a fixed price lunch here and enjoyed the atmosphere as well as seeing the waiters rush by with meat on spits ready for serving. Prepare to leave stuffed! The menu included usual but tasty items like roast lamb, roast beef, turkey, and chicken wings.... More

Went to this restaurant on a recommendation from trip advisor and other research on Nairobi. It was a quick trip, about 20 minutes, from our hotel. Definitley not a walkable restaurant. Take a cab if you're not a local. Food: Meat, meat and more meat. If you want to try some unique meat, go for it. If you are expecting... More

If you are visiting Kenya or Nairobi in particular then the trip won't be complete without a meal at this legendary restaurant which is a heaven for Meat Lovers and rightfully so! The waiters would keep serving you BBQ meat till you collapse (not literally though!) The meal started with fresh bread, butter, soup, salad and a big collection of... More

As you enter there is the fire that they cook the meat on spits with, surrounded by people preparing food - a good sign that they prepare and cook the meat themselves. To start with soup is served; they didn’t say what it was but it tasted like leak. This is then followed with them bringing out salad and sauces,... More
