Not quite a gastronomic delight. Very touristy. Great variety of charcoal barbecued meats. Some nice, some over cooked and chewy. Friendly helpful staff. Would not have felt missed out if we did not go.

Nyama Choma!! Beef, ostrich meatballs, crocodile, pork, turkey, chicken, lamb together with amazing sauces help make the dinner even better. Wonderful staff. Good selection of wine and spirits. Try Snapp (apple cider) or a Tusker (beer)! Enjoy :)

WOW, what a neat restaurant! I'll never forget it! WAYY too much meat, but tried LOTS of neat things. My son & I LOVED it! I would go there again for sure. We went to eat after 2 weeks "in the bush", tasted GREAT!

They've obviously practiced over many years and are now very slick at what they do. To their credit, a lot of their staff have been there a long time. Food is very good, and the price reasonable.

The different kinds of meat came to fast on our dishes! So our dishes were full with meat that became cold before we could eat it. Why such a hurry? Let the visitors enjoy their meal. And some parts of the meat were not welldone. This was my second visit at The Carnivore, the first was in the late 80's... More

The setting is fabulous and staff were friendly and food plentiful. My problem is that all meat with the exception of the ostrich was overcooked, both the lamb and beef extremely so. I would not return but am glad I have been and seen the fab fire pit and the setting

Authentic restaurant, huge grill. They used to serve game meat previously but now limited to occasional dishes like crocodile tail, Ostrich, antelope if you are lucky on the date. Keeps on serving until you down the table-top flag! Live music/ cultural show. Good value for money spent.

This place's stile is that of Brazilian restaurants: you basically eat meat until your stomach gets full. They have all sorts of common meat, and occasionally some wild animals (we tried crocodile and ostrich). Food is good but a bit overpriced; the place is nice with a fresh garden, wood tables outdoor and a giant grill, yet it's not the... More

Would never want to dine here again with the following experience. 1. Extremely poor services. Some waiters just sit there and keep playing with their mobile phones. They don't even want to take your order on drinks. 2. We are told that soda costs 150 KSL (less than 2 USD) when we order, however, it ends up costing us 700... More

Eaten here twice. Not a place for vegetarians but you can guess that from the name. Impala is my favourite. If you're in the area make sure you visit you won't regret it.
