The first restaurateur to open a true Mexican/ TexMex cafe in Nairobi is bound to make a killing. Pete's - trying hard to fill that niche but failing miserably - was full of an eclectic Mzungu and African crowd with their iPads and Notebooks and cools shoes, gathered on a second-floor outdoor patio with plenty of shade and breeze. Pete's knows how to make Mexican food. The best I've had in Nairobi and very affordable! The burritos are my favorite. Keep up the good work!

The place is hidden in an office complex and has outside sitting which is a plus... I ordered a house coffee which was fantastic! Will definitely be back.

It was nice, not outstanding, but seemed clean which is a big plus. Pleasant atmosphere just on the edge of busy Ngong Rd. traffic. Burrito was fairly big. Quesadilla good. A bit spicy when I asked for it not to be spicy.

I ordered a chicken burrito from Pete's through HelloFood. It looked like it would be delicious, and I had high hopes, but something on it tasted rotten and I couldn't finish it-- maybe the guacamole? I wouldn't order from there again.

This is one unique restaurant creatively tucked away in an office block balcony offering some of the best Mexican delicacies in town. The food is quite tasty, delicious and well presented. Be sure to try out their coffees too as the owner is a master brewer and a trainer in Kenya. their freshly squeezed juices are "to-die-for" kinda stuff! They... More

I have visited Pete's a couple of times and the experience has been good each time. Simple set up and casual ambience. I have had the opportunity to try a strawberry smoothie which had a very interesting smooth taste to it. The burritos Never disappoint and the quesadillas are also very delicious, both beef and chicken. They had a simple... More

As a coffee person - I love their coffee! And the tiny little pastries baked from Pete's partners wife.. ;) I really like this little spot and I also give Pete kudos for being a good host.

I know Pete's is known for their Mexican burritos, but they make some pretty good pancakes too. The restaurant is quite small, but has an open kitchen so you can see what they're cooking and create delicious food. I went for breakfast/brunch a number of times while I was working in the iHub building. Everyone I know really enjoys their... More
