Nice location in town

Visited the restaurant last Saturday. It can get crowded (most people do meetings here as well as catch up with friends) but we found a seat upstairs. Convenient location within Nairobi CBD. The stair case is a hazard since the steps are a bit smaller than usual so watch out. I had the teriyaki... read more

Good location choice as it is in the central business district and the ambience is great. One can do a quick meal, sandwiches, coffee, pastries or a full meal. I ordered the cocktail juice but it had too much beetroot, the tiramisu cake was good. The service was great but I found the place a little pricey.

It is in the CBD, but not too exposed. The ambiance resembles any small local restaurant, they serve nice sandwiches, a bit expensive, but acceptable. Coffee was good, beetroot juice had so much beetroot that it blocked all the other tastes in the glass. Chocolate croissant was a bit of a disappointment, the chocolate was very little and the dough... More

Perhaps the best coffee in Nairobi! At last a barista who knows his machine and the coffee he works with! Bravo. Now I hope the management will change providers of their croissant! What they sell now is the Nairobi variety of croissant made of the wrong (bread) dough. If and when they start selling the real croissant than The Mug... More

The smell gives you an invitation you just cannot say no to...and of course the coffee itself proves what the smell tell you

To mathias, i know the management coz I'm a regular there and I think you are wrong to suggest it was an "inside involvement" maybe take care of your belongings next time as indicated on the signs everywhere in Kenya.. As for the coffee and food, the mug is my favorite joint in nairobi

Have not tried their coffee yet but was pleased with the cakes. Loved the White Forest and Chocolate cake. I have to say they are better than the Dorman's cakes we tried. The service was good at the take-out counter and friendly.
