Great Food, Wonderful Setting

This reataurant situated in the suburb of Runda in Nairobi is set in beautiful gardens, which play host to a number of birds including the Crowned Crane. There are seating options either inside or on the verandah, which runs almost right around the premises and which affords wonderful views of the... read more

Over the years I had heard about Lord Erroll and always wanted to have a meal there. I finally had the chance last weekend and was extremely disappointed. The service was terrible, I had to ask for one thing repeatedly, there was no attention to detail. Food did not come in any order, the Adults were served before the Children,... More

We lunched at the restaurant on 25/01/2013 with travelling companions at the end of a safari and were very disappointed especially by the service which I guess spoilt the event. It felt as if we were not really welcome there possibly because of the presence of more important guests such as UN officials and diplomats. Menu selection was poor and... More

Do not miss The Lord Erroll restaurant. From waterfalls, to crested cranes walking about, hanging lanterns, and friendly service, The Lord Erroll is a delightful niche escape. I love it.

The able serenity, parking lot enough and spacious, timely and service of high quality and the garden is nurtured well. The short distance to the American embassy and the famous Runda estate. The place is so nice..a river very close to the hotel wow! what a place to be!

Had a meal there years ago. Food amazingly delicious! Mouth watering! ... EXPENSIVE; but worth every penny!

I attended this restaurant at the invitation of my hosts at the UN. The gardens are lovely and so well-attended. International travellers with us were captivated by the Crowned Cranes - so elegant and beautiful The restauarant erected a small marquee for drinks. It was relaxed and informal. The dinner was on the verandah, beautifully old-fashioned but comfortable. We had... More

To find this place you will need a reputable local taxi driver or knowledgable resident. We ate at this establishment one evening and the food was superb, the service, staff and setting excellent. The menu prices are comparable to that of a restaurant in the UK, but with better service and food! An evening sat on the terrace for a... More

this place is very tucked away, and if you go by the Nairobi maps you'll never find it! We went on a Sunday and opted for a la carte instead of the buffet, which was no problem. Great prawn dish, and they threw in the salad bar at no extra cost. All in all reasonably priced compared to other good... More
