We've been to The Lord Erroll on a number of occasions over the last year and it is fair to say that we aren't really that struck on the menu but we do like the atmosphere and the surroundings. Last night we had a terrible experience overall. We were welcomed and seated quickly and our waitress was great - attentive... More

I dined here October 23 and I had such high expectations. My niece had fish fingers which she declined to take home because of how awful they were. The food had no flavor and the wait staff was not even aware of the items on the menu. I cannot tell you who my waitress was because she didn't even tell... More

Our small group tour dined here on our final night after concluding our safari experience. Having a local guide who could communicate with the staff ensured excellent service. The vegetable soup was hot and tasty. My tilapia was perfectly prepared. I wouldn't say the food was fancy and I have no idea what it cost. But it was very pleasant... More

Stuck in aspic, Colonial-style restaurant set in pretty grounds and with a fancy gentlemen's club air to it. The staff are nice but terribly slow and inattentive. Food dates back to when British food was not known to be good. Everything is drowning in heavy sauces (even ravioli or prawns). The prawns tasted iffy - small and not fresh. For... More

This restaurant is truly bad, but like my husband likes to say, "at least it's expensive!" The food was really mediocre, not to say bad, and the service was not much better. (Who serves pasta with vanilla sauce?! I made the mistake of ordering it because the waitress assured me that the recipe was in a white sauce that had... More

This restaurant is only known because of its history. Yes, this is the place where Lord Erroll lived before he was killed. There's a movie about it - White Mischief - go see it, it's great! The restaurant is not. Although the menu attempts to be European, it's more 1950's US country club. Everything is ok - nothing is very... More

I had dinner with a friend last night. I think the place is overrated. The food was stodgy and overpriced. I've had better food in Nairobi at places that don;t think as much of themselves. Prosciutto and melon starter fine though melon tasted old. German special really poor (sausage, shoulder in a huge portion and the meat was dry and... More
