Whenever I want to drink coffee, I only go to one place, Java. Great service and the best coffee in town. Great for light meals/snacks and the ice cream and cakes are also fabulous.

This are very small coffeehouses but good.Food is good, not very expensive, but maybe you must wait some time to get a table. There is a very new and big one in Mombasa.

We were a large group (13), but were seated immediately on a Friday night at the Java House (location near the US Embassy). It is tucked behind a gas station and I was a bit skeptical when we pulled in. We were able to eat outside on the patio and we didn't know we were on a busy road or... More

When you are craving delicious, moist, dark chocolate cake with layers of rich chocolate fudge, go no further than the nearest Java House. I love chocolate cake but my husband craves it on a daily basis. Java's slices are huge, but he still orders two so that he doesn't have to share any of his slice with me. I eat... More

Great place for a quick coffee, and the coffee is really nice. Their Gigiri branch is close to the UN headquarters to makes for a convenient spot to have a quick bite [ some of the sandwiches are good but otherwise the food is so-so].

It was a wednesday, I went with my kids and invalid elders for dinner. After discussing about agood sitting for the oldies lenghtily and settling them, I was told there are no potatoes for chips. It was about 8.30pm. When we order chicken, the plate comes with very small portion of chicken and the plate is full of lettuce leaves.... More

As a regular visitor of Java I had never experienced any hygiene issues until this! I visited Java for breakfast which was lovely until my final sip of my coffee - at the bottom of the mug I found an odd shaped ball of residue floating. On removal and further examination the manager revealed that this was part of the... More
