I love the steaks!

Osteria's key strength is in blending great italian style ambiance with highly generous selections of wines and italian cuisines with great choices. I have eaten here more than 10 times and each visit has its story. the lively weekly entertainment has added more reason to frequent! Well done.

Seriously, how wrong can you go with pizza, pasta, salad, Italian mainstays? The salads are limp and lifeless, the pizza has a stodgy base and stingy fillings. I have to say that the asparagus risotto is not bad, but as for the rest, well, average at best. And pricewise, like most places around Gigiri and other expat haunts, its not... More

Eaten in kilimani and Gigiri. My advice is don't order something you know. As it will not be how you expect. I had lasgna without cheese on top just mince and the mince tasted like it was straight from the butchers with no bolognaise or italian spices. Or flavour. At kilimani I ordered spaghetti bolognaise and it was similar, tons... More

We had a great night out. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere just topped the evening off. The prices are on the steep side - but at least you get good quality and quantity.

The best thing I like about the place is the complimentary foccacia they offer - its nice n freshly out of the oven. You dont require to reserve hence always good for last mimute plans. Food is average. Pastas r good, perhaps avoid the soups

If you are looking for a nice romantic evening in Nairobi then this nice Italian place in the Village Market is a good bet. My wife and I went on a Friday night and the candle-lit atmosphere was lovely. It also wasn't too crowded (most likely because it was raining heavily that night), but in any event it is good... Like most things in Europe or Africa, the tax or VAT is included in the price. Well, not at Osteria. They shock you with a much higher bill than what you see in the menu. Nasty trick. All other restaurants in Nairobi are not under-handed like this.

This was my second visit this year. The restaurant has great atmosphere - outdoor tables, braziers blazing away. The service is very good, the staff attentive but not overwhelming. However the food is a little disappointing. It is good but no more. That would not stop me returning but would stop me recommending for great Italian food.....go for the experience.... More

This is a place where you can easily dine alone and feel part of the overal camaraderie. The staff are friendly and the food is good middle of the road Italian with better tah usual pizzas. Live music adds to the general ambience.
