Osteria is an established name in Nairobi, but our last three visits have proven that is completely unjustified. Every we time ordered pasta, the sauce was scolding hot, very apparently out of the microwave. This means the texture and flavour is ruined. Additionally, the flavour of the tomato sauce (base for many other pasta sauces) seems as if it is... More

Located in the Village market and run by an Italian chef, this restaurant has a great and tasty variety of starters, pasta, pizza, meat, seafood, and of course Italian wines.

Very good dining experience on a Friday night. Very tasty crab and pasta dish with a generous and good glass of red wine. The atmosphere is really enjoyable thanks to a live band playing classic jazz pieces with an excellent female singer. Service is perfect and the Chef walks around to greet everybody.

This was a very nice surprise in the expanding Village Market. We three had the lasagne, spaghetti carbonara and the ragu pizza, which after a large complimentary 'starter', proved to be more than enough. Good house wine, reasonably priced, together with good service made for an enjoyable evening out.

We were at the Village Market yesterday to run some chores when we chanced upon their signage at the entrance for a set menu luncheon, three courses for $1000 ksh each. The choices sounded good, so without even glancing at their menu ordered our food and drinks. The patio was bright and light for Sunday lunch, and the wood-fired pizza... More

This Village Market location has a soaring covered patio that is simple and elegant. I have been here a couple of times, but my partner dines here no less than weekly. The service and italian cuisine are consistently excellent. Each time I have seen a large family (10+ party) enjoying a gathering, so I suggest it for large groups as... More

Was looking for an italian cuisine restaurant when i chanced on this restaurant tucked away in a corner in the shopping mall at village market. Great food, okay ambience and best of all the personal touch given by the manager. Very warm and smiley. The complimentary bread with tomatoes is great. Kids thought its a pizza. The wines are great... More

There are several Osterias in Nairobi: all good, reliable Italian cuisine. We regularly visit the one at the Village Market, where you get the personal attention of the manager and good service from familiar waiters. Tuna carpaccio particularly tasty, and home-made pastas fresh and well-sauced. Never disappoints.

Osteria in Nairobi have four restaurants. I have visited one at Warwick Centre & the one at the Village Market. Complimentary pizza bread with splash of chopped tomatoes is good. The pizza base is good & crispy. Pasta portion could be a bit more specially if not having first course, a few garlic bread will be good. Taste like home... More

We found this hidden gem almost by accident whilst exploring The Village Market on a Sunday lunchtime and- what a find! Lovely attractive courtyard terrace and very nice welcome. We were served a generous complimentary portion of pizza bread topped with chopped tomato & garlic whilst waiting for our main course of Penne Puttanesca- wonderful Italian flavours and a very...
