Jazz, Beer, Food and Friends ..... What could be better?

Brew Bistro was a pleasant surprise for me. I visited on a Thursday and it was packed but I understand it is even "body to body" on Fridays. The music was soulful - There was a lady who sang along with the band and boy, did she sing! The Tapas starter tray was very tasty, left me wanting for... read more

We visited twice while in Nairobi for a week's work (we live in Nakuru). The first visit was on a Sunday afternoon. We booked in advance to make sure we got a table with a view of the 6 Nations rugby game we were keen to catch. Booking was easy and the table we got was great. Unfortunately they don't... More

Had a phenomenal time here - especially enjoyed the wine list, which is definitely one of the best in Africa. Wines from all over the world - favorite was Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc from New Zealand. Super friendly staff and great food. HIGHLY recommend this place

I went to Brew Bistro on a Tuesday night, which is build your own burger night. It was fabulous with a great selection of things to put on the burger. My friends and I bought wine from the shop downstairs and they delivered it to our table. We also enjoyed a hookah before our meal. I haven't left Africa for... More

The beer is brewed on site and so is very fresh when you drink it. There is usually a good selection on offer. The food is well made and presented though a bit expensive. The service is friendly if a bit slow especially when the restaurant is full. Please remember to book a table if you intend to visit on... More

A great restaurant/lounge bar to visit. They have great offers for happy hour during the week, Friday is usually pretty popular so tends to be packed. You have to remember to book a table in advance. Saturdays and Sundays are more advisable, great for a sun downer and some music. I'm not a big beer fan but people brag about... More

It is inevitably westernized, but still a very pleasant spot on the Ngong road. You get to the point where you do not mind the noise from the street and the traffic, you just enjoy on the terrace... Food is a bit pricey, and drinks are also quite expensive. The menu is diverse enough, but if you are really hungry,... More

This is a good place to start off your Saturday evening with a few sundowner drinks, snacks, and people watching. Their beers are worth tasting, and their food is decent too.

In my research, I considered this a Nairobi highlight for beer and beef. They source their beef from Morendat farms, one of the few places in Kenya to get aged beef. They have a new chef with some pretty impressive chef creds, so I expected the food to stand out like a shining star. Indeed the beer pairing was refreshing.... More
