Everyday that I was in Nairobi I visited at least once. Quality of the coffee and the service was good and the range of soft drinks and pastries on offer was great. It made a great venue for ad hoc meetings and also just a good spot to pop out of the office and clear your head while grabbing a... More

Nairobi Java House is a European-style cafe in Nairobi. That means that you mainly see white travellers or businessmen and rich local posh Kenyans. Food and beverages are really great and of high quality along with the prices. Its definitely not a budget option but at the same time its full of tourists! All in all, its a recommended option... Place is good for a coffee and some snack or a breakfast. Quite pricy but can enjoy the service and design. You may spot many foreigners visiting this Coffee House.

I was in Nairobi a week or so ago and visited, yet again, the JCH to see if it has kept its standards. Let me tell you that this is not the place for an intimate get together with a loved one. You may end up sharing the table with two people that despise each other. That is part of... More

A friend and I stopped in for lunch recently, and we did things backwards: we ordered dessert first, then a 'proper' lunch. Both of our desserts were excellent -- the chocolate fudge cake was moist and rich -- and my friend enjoyed her meal, but the cheese in mine was quite clearly off, to the extent that I wasn't able... It's a nice place if you want to sit and drink coffee. But it's not easy to find a free seat. It's very crowded. Coffee is good and staff is nice. There is no WiFi and sitting outside.

A group of my friends and I enjoyed a quick snack at Java House. I had a mango yogurt smoothie and a samosa. The smoothie was tasty and refreshing, and the samosa was HUGE and delicious. All very affordable. A few days later, I went back to purchase a bag of coffee to take home to remember our trip. Overall-... More

This is one of a chain of Java Houses in Nairobi. They offer excellent service in a casual, modern atmosphere. You will enjoy any of their many meal choices from soup and sandwiches to entrees.
