The setting is wonderful. There were a group of 8 and the reaction as far as food was concerned ranged from bland to ok. The service although pleasant was very slow and it is no wonder they add the 10% service charge as I am sure they would have struggled to get anything had I had the choice.

This was a pleasant place for coffee and ice cream to visit after seeing the Karen Blixen Museum. The Swedo House was her manager's place and there is a transported manor house from Nairobi. Seeing this, in combination with the Blixen Museum, gives you a more complete understanding of the colonial experience. Plus the coffee was good. The Diplomats? There... More

Just average. Its just an ordinary resturant that use Karen Blixens name. it was notting inside in the garden that displayed any thing from Karen Blixen. The food was average and same with the staff. It took forever to get our drinks (we got it after the starter).

Sunday buffet lunch inventive and exciting with Indian foods and a selection of barbequed meast and fish. Beautiful setting in the Blixen Garden. Very attentive service

An oasis of greenery in a dusty city but certainly busy for lunch as the locals retreat here to enjoy the fabulous fresh foods from a wide menu. Our meals were therefore slow in arriving but delicious. My highlight was the high quality of souvenirs purchased. At the beginning of 15 days in East Africa, they proved to be some... More

This is a great place which we visit often. Food of high standard like the other restaurant members of the group that owns it, nice grounds and very child friendly. A good place to go after an outing to Karen. But watch out for Sunday lunch - at that time they have a big buffet (somewhat overpriced at 2000 shillings... More

While in Karen in the suburb of Nairobi City, this place is the best for your meals and rest. It is well situated for the trips to the Blixen and the Giraffe Centre. Good service, Good Food and Good People.

We found that most of the food in kenya was aimed at recreating british food, which isn't that great to begin with. This restaurant hit the nail on the head - food was excellent!! We actually ate here twice, once before we went out on safari and then once when we returned. We wished we had gotten to eat here... More

I like the ambience, & dark wood theme of the bar. I also like the soft background music, it's a great place to have conversation. Even ideal for a business meeting.

Pampered is what I felt here. Seated outside on a warm, balmy winter day (same as Spring in Australia) with a delicious menu to choose from and beautiful garden surroundings. Modern and clean facilities.
