You can't get a better sea food restaurant in Africa with signature dishes such as Swahili Crab and Prawns Peri Peri. A visit to Tamarind is a must in Kenya

Previous visit 30+ years and glad to report food still has great as I remember. Chili crab, with all the utensils a great experience. Service and decor very dated. Touched by 'special dessert' treat (without ruining the surprise when they ask for your names you will get a great at the end of the meal)

A little pricy for Nairobi but great food and service with good ambience. 4 persons $250 US. Easily equal to the better restaurants in Europe and the US.

Looking for a seafood restaurant in Nairobi we were addressed to Tamarind and was a good suggestion, good seafood, fresh oysters, good service and nice ambience. A bit pricy but acceptable,

not a lovely location, and hefty prices. but a very good and broad fish and seafood menu, with kenyan and european elements, and attentive service.
