I took my wife for dinner at the Tamarind in December. The service was great and staff was happy to serve. The was a great selection of wine, drinks and food off the menu. All the sea food is really fresh and cooked to perfection. The ambiance is cosy, but also a bit confined. It isnt a large... read more

I had great expectations. But the restaurant itself is quite dark, no windows and for me, I d like to have open spaces and nice views. Food...probably just hardly average. Pricing: over priced. I hope to visit the one on Mombasa to give better rating.

One of the best foods I had during my stay in Nairobi. - The service is excellent. - The breads served with the foods are really hot and delicious. - I had T-bone steak, which was excellent. - My friends had Bombay Fish and Prawns and they were blown away. - The desserts platter was lovely - We had the... This is a fairly upmarket seafood restaurant in the CBD. The service was fine and so it should have been because it was almost empty. The food was very good, we tried the Prawn Masala Curry which was very tasty and a decent sized portion. The wine was expensive and not the best quality so perhaps avoid the wine list.... More

We went there because we'd heard about their quality, mainly seafood dishes. We tried two different kind of crabs, really good, also tomato soup, and we enjoyed the hole night. Is worth it

I'd heard great things about this seafood restaurant, so went with high expectations. I started with a wonderful Masai Martini, followed by lovely appetisers of oysters and prawns done in various exciting ways. My biggest gripe, is that my mixed seafood platter was overcooked. The lobster was sad and stringy, oily and frankly tastless. Sacrillege! The fish and prawns suffered... More

First time at this restaurant and it sure as hell will not be my last.. Loved the ambiance, service, serenity and how exclusive the place is in the middle of such a busy area. The food was just amazing; no cell phone use is allowed and "if you must smoke, don't exhale"... Worth every penny spent.

Great food. Indulge yourself and do the seafood platter. Service was just as good. Not sure about the location but hey, welcome to Africa.

I had heard this restaurant was the best in Nairobi. There is no doubt the service and quality is exceptional, I didnt think it lived up to the reviews. I would go back however, it was a lovely experience, and one of the nicer places we ate at while in Nairobi
