We would joke with friends that the food at Habesha must be really great because we keep going back inspite of the bad service and poor hygiene. But yesterday it stopped being funny. The waiters are usually rude but this time, we got one who yelled at us. Then they loaded stuff on our bill that we had not taken. When... More

This was my first taste of Ethiopian cuisine. Located in the suburbs of Nairobi the rooms are basic and relatively clean. The mixed curry plate served on injera accompanied by a glass of cold Stoney, was magnificent. Definitely recommended if you want authentic African cuisine.

Food is awesome to my tongue and the prices are, although recently increased, still in good relation to what you get. Service is terrible unfortunately and it's easy to run into staff telling you even on a late evening, that you can't sit on the table near the only fire pot although it's cold and the restaurant empty - bc... While I seek to help folks in their travels this review is more a reminder to me so I won't forget this incredible place. I asked the waitress to surprise me. What followed was a colorful array of vegetation and flesh. Every bite was a reminder of just how great life can be when you give yourself a chance to... More

A friend recommended Habesha and it was definitely worth the visit! I recommend going with a larger group, because most of the dishes are communal and big enough to feed at least four people. We got two platters of a mixture of food and still had leftovers with more than eight people.

Good service, clean restaurant and good atmosphere. We have regular dined here and cannot fault it. The food is delicious, portions are generous and the quality is one of the best. They take special care of their customers.

Habesha was my first time having Ethiopian food, so I can't compare it to other Ethiopian restaurants in Nairobi or otherwise, but I really, really enjoyed it. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor. We sat inside and the seating area didn't really feel like a restaurant (also, we were the only ones sitting inside) but the outdoor area... More

Habesha is the best Ethiopian food I've ever had. I'm a vegetarian, and the combination of their vegetarian plate and shiro is phenomenal, and I take everyone who comes to visit me in Nairobi to Habesha without fail. All of my housemates love the place as well, and it's something we look forward to every week. Great experience overall!

Great place to eat. Love Ethiopian food, and the Shiro here is fantastic. Great outdoor seating, excellent place for bigger groups. Whenever I am in Nairobi, I make a point of eating here.

I live 5min away from this place, so visit it fairly often. It's got lots of secure parking and the restaurant itself is huge. You have options to sit inside, in small private corners, open areas, sports area (with live football DSTV) and it's all in a pretty lush green surrounding. There are several fire pits on the go (in... More
