I read about other reviewer of rude service, our experience has been good. Quite attentive. The mixed dish is very tasty and filling.. Very much enjoyed it. It would be great to go with a group to try more dishes too. portion is generous and very reasonably priced. I also had the ginger/honey tea which was a good touch to... More

I have been a regular at Habesha over the years but the owner is rude, usually drunk and the staff are rude too. The food has gone down in quality over the last few months and the prices up. One is not allowed to sit near the fire place as the owner may come and even when he does and... More

Visited with a Nairobi resident as I wanted to have Ethiopian food. First good sign was that there were a number of Ethiopians there The food was as good as i have eaten in Addis. The waiter was great with suggestions from the menu. Will go again

I've been going every now and then to Habesha Restaurant when i was living in Nairobi. And every time i visit Nairobi i can't miss to go to Habesha to enjoy Their food. I almost tried every dish that's on the menu and never complained. the only problem is that sometimes they take a lot of time before the food... More

We would joke with friends that the food at Habesha must be really great because we keep going back inspite of the bad service and poor hygiene. But yesterday it stopped being funny. The waiters are usually rude but this time, we got one who yelled at us. Then they loaded stuff on our bill that we had not taken. When... More

This was my first taste of Ethiopian cuisine. Located in the suburbs of Nairobi the rooms are basic and relatively clean. The mixed curry plate served on injera accompanied by a glass of cold Stoney, was magnificent. Definitely recommended if you want authentic African cuisine.

Food is awesome to my tongue and the prices are, although recently increased, still in good relation to what you get. Service is terrible unfortunately and it's easy to run into staff telling you even on a late evening, that you can't sit on the table near the only fire pot although it's cold and the restaurant empty - bc... While I seek to help folks in their travels this review is more a reminder to me so I won't forget this incredible place. I asked the waitress to surprise me. What followed was a colorful array of vegetation and flesh. Every bite was a reminder of just how great life can be when you give yourself a chance to... More

A friend recommended Habesha and it was definitely worth the visit! I recommend going with a larger group, because most of the dishes are communal and big enough to feed at least four people. We got two platters of a mixture of food and still had leftovers with more than eight people.

Good service, clean restaurant and good atmosphere. We have regular dined here and cannot fault it. The food is delicious, portions are generous and the quality is one of the best. They take special care of their customers.
