I should say I am not a regular on Ethiopian food, and I wouldn't say I am a big fan of it. Habesha however is a very nice place to enjoy some Ethiopian cuisine. The place has some sort of quiet garden setting. Definitely go for the mixed platter, otherwise the food will become a bit monotonous. Portions are royal.... More

Had a dinner gathering here, but the food was not to my taste. may be more towards the Ethiopian palate. service was average and ambiance was not too great. The costs were well within our pockets so the place is within acceptable limits.

Habesha is one of those places you want to go to accompanied by at least two friends. Reason being, the menu is quite extensive and you may want to try a little bit of everything. The food is good, and the portions huge. Their special coffee is really something....

I enjoyed talking to the manager and cashier about Ethiopian history and development. However, I felt the food wasn't very good because the beef was tough, and the chicken curry too spicy. The service was fiendly, but rather amateurish.

Nairobi offers a wealth of Ethiopian fare locales, few as friendly, comfortable and appealing as Habesha. Vegetarian colleagues are invariably content to accompany those of us craving goat tibs. Great value, with a diverse dinner washed down with a Tusker at about 1k Kes, generous gratuity included. Not many places at Gigiri that can boast the same.

We have visited the restaurant on several occasions and we always enjoy the injera. The staff are keen on guiding you on how to choose your meal. Will definitely go back again.
