Beautiful restaurant and ambiance. I highly suggest coming here for dinner, as the atmosphere is very pretty and relaxed. I enjoyed the coriander/feta samosas, the avocado/tuna soyae, and the gnocchi. The desserts are simply incredible--try the knicker bocker sundae for a really delicious, unique sweet treat. I also had the salad appetizer which was just okay. Their steak is excellent... More

International standard food, menu, quality and presentation. Wonderful environment and outdoor ambiance. Good bar and constant art gallery shows by local artists. Good service. Secure, friendly and unique.

The service is very good. The menu includes a good variety of dishes combined with local specialities. I can recommend the samosas and the steak. The athmosphere is very pleasant. The play area for the kids is also nice.

Small menu with mostly local ingredients. Very well cooked and presented, without pretensions. Not cheap by Nairobi standards, but excellent value for money. Wine list however needs quite some attention. Do not change your front brigade. A perfect combination of family and respect for privacy. My favourate place in Nairobi, in spite of the rather long drive to get there.

1. The booking very friendly and effective 2. The menu well structured with day specials. The kitchen international with some local elements. 3. The presentation very nice and the raw materials fresh. 4. As starter we had the tempura prawns and T tuna. Both very tasty but the tempura prawns were a dream! Crunchy and very tasty. 5. For main... The service was amazing, the prices were great and the food was absolutely divine! The steak was the best I have had in Africa, I have been to 8 countries and I think I am allowed to comment on that. The steak came with a potato pancake, wasabi and roasted veggies. The samosas here are a must try I am... More

While researching for a nice place to eat on TripAdvisor I came across the Talisman! The reviews were great and thus my expectations were really up there! Some reviewers had used adjectives such as "divine" to describe the food and thus naturally I made a call to reserve a place for my family but we were told that the only... More

The agora restaurant! This is such a good concept, it is not simply a restaurant with alfresco dining, there is also an organic foodstuff market and there are art exhibitions and special events. The location is a little isolated for those without their own transport but I was lucky enough to be seated without a reservation on the three occasions... More

Based on past reviews, we made a weekend lunch reservation & looked forward to this dining experience. Regrettably, we were disappointed. Perhaps the mediocre service (we repeatedly had to actually go looking for the staff to inquire about multiple delays) impeded our enjoyment, but the food was not impressive, and in hindsight, we much preferred Karen Blixen Tamambo. We tried... More

Thanks for the review. We're certainly sorry to hear you were disappointed. Staff training is ongoing and we're working to improve and speed up service times, chef Marcus and his team are working hard to produce meals that are well above average. We hope you'll come again and give us another chance to wow you just like our past reviews.... More
