Scrumptious Starters, Mouth watering meals and dangerous desserts! We tried to stay away but the call of the excellent cuisine was so strong. Sunday lunch according to my wife was the best she had ever eaten as were the deep fried breaded mushrooms. If you go to Luxor a 20 Egyptian pound taxi ride from anywhere around will take you... Found out about this restaurant off trip advisor. It didn't disappoint my wife who has eaten sea bass all over the world said it was the best ever. I however chose a steak of which they had run out of all steaks, restaurants shouldn't run out of the basics, however I chose a chicken dish which was very good as well.... More

I eat here fairly regularly tonight I had the tempura prawns starter and the special board chicken with dumplings ... In a fairly busy restaurant for sadly a quite luxor its number one on my list ... Debbie the owner is always attentive plus the long term waiter is always helpful

The hostess/owner Debbie is a consummate hospitality professional. We arrived with a large group - a mix of Egyptians, Italians, Australians, etc. She was terrific with every guest and people thoroughly enjoyed the food. The menu has daily specials - definitely the way to go - and a selection of both local and English influenced dishes. Always remember to book... More

The food is good, the service by the sole waiter is good (poor chap is rushed off his feet) but the place is let down by the strange women who flounces around in a manner that leaves you to believe that she is far superior to her customers. Order taking is slow although the food does arrive promptly. Waiting to... More

Went there to eat on my birthday, and everything was great! The food, the atmosphere and the service. This resulted in us returning for the christmas eve special, which was equally good, but the service being slower, due to more guests. Overall great experience, and recommended without a doubt.

We heard about the restaurant through Trip Advisor and decided to try it out on Christmas day. On arriving at 4pm we were told the restaurant wouldn't open till 7 and even then was fully booked for the evening but we were welcome to come on the following day, without having to reserve, at anytime starting 5pm. The next day... More

Although on an all inclusive package at the Pavillon Winter hotel we hankered for something a little different from buffet style dinners and based on reviews here we tried the Lantern. How pleased we were that we did! A warm welcome is assured - we dined early and were often the first to arrive - and the food is consistently... More
