Perhaps it is unfair to rate The Secret Garden along with restaurants because it is a café, serving great snacks, breakfasts, brunches, lunches, afternoon tea with lovely homemade cakes, scones, cookies at very reasonable prices. All served with very friendly efficiency in a spotlessly clean and attractive café with lovely staff. Being in a hotel with very meagre food provision,... More

Based on reviews tried this restaurant for lunch as was close to my hotel. Lots of english options, which may have been fine. I wanted Egyptian, ordered a kofta and salad. Was terrible. Didnt even have any tahina to go with it. Literally tased like it had been heated from frozen in a microwave and put onto a plate with... More

A really good meeting place to meet and chat with friends over coffee and light meals, fabulously clean, and very relaxed. A good range of food for breakfast and lunch at keen prices. If you have never visited the Secret Garden you do not know what you are missing. You will always find Laura and Mahmoud helpful if you require... More

After suffering "breakfast" at my hotel for two days, this became the regular morning 10.00am visit for both myself and another Brit, Kevin. Same brilliant owner, Laura, as the Jewel In The Nile. The one morning we both had scones straight out of the oven, with the obligatory butter and strawberry jam. Wonderful! Very popular with Brits and deservedly so.

The lunchtime snack of a pitta and sausage was yum. A friend’s Mango Juice was lush and he even managed a second, as he has hollow legs. The wifi is brilliant in there, much better than the Sonesta’s Reception, Laura puts the code in for you. The smoking is off-putting though.

Very nice cafe, great food. A little bit of England in Luxor, were you can relax. Owned by a English lady that greets you with a smile and is very helpful. This cafe is very popular with the English residents & tourists, it is also nice to sometimes just call in for a coffee and a chat. The cafe has... More

Cute cafe ran by a friendly welcoming English lady. Also had free wi-fi which is hard to come by in other restaurants and hotels in the area. Food is well priced, homely, simple but good. Would also recommend its sister restaurant; jewel of the nile if going out in the evening.
