Every time I go abroad I want to taste authentic local food, and this place really is the best that egypt has to offer and is affordable! I was in Egypt for one week and came to this restaurant three times. The food is incredibily tasty and of very high quality - I kept having the camel for my mains... More

The feel of this place is relaxed, welcoming and proper. The music they play here is authentic and non-imposing, too (Omar Khairat). We had grilled meat; the meat is very good, well made, and the portions are generously sized. Mahmoud, our waiter, is incredibly attentive and friendly, all the while being discreet. A nice place for a relaxed meal, highly... More

We stayed at the Neferiti hotel which is attached to this restaurant. We had dinner both nights here and loved the authentic local food. The quality and presentation of the dishes were great. Mahmoud is the sweet waiter who calls you by name and provides great service. The camel dish was delicious! The rooftop patio has incredible views of the... More

I really enjoyed having dinner here. Location is on the roof top terrace of Nefertiti Hotel. It's such a great atmosphere. Portions are generous and the quality of the food is excellent. Meals arrive quickly and are served by Mahmoud, who is extremely friendly and great company. It is a real pleasure to talk to him. He even hopped a... More

After spending a whole day traveling from Aswan, it was a good place to relax, have dinner, smoke shisha, and watch the sunset. We went up to the Terrace. We had camel stew, which was suggested by Mahmoud. In addition, we had the Kofta and western Pizza as well. Afterwards, we smoked shisha while watching the sundown while having the... More

Don't be put off by the entrance to the restaurant which frankly looks like it's on the kind of dark alleyway you'd probably want to avoid! Access is through the Nefertiti Hotel and once you've climbed the 8 flights of stairs to the rooftop you'll see why it's worth the effort. The views over the Nile, mountains and the city... More

We had a lunchtime fruit juice here, 3 floors up on the rooftop of the Nefertiti Hotel. It’s right past Luxor Temple, the last lane on the right on the road that runs alongside the Temple. It’s signposted as you get near. The other end of the short lane brings you out into the middle of the souk. The Melon... More
