Was indulged on the rooftop restaurant by the wonderful chef Gabriel. The food that was presented was like eye candy and tasted exquisite. Our foods ranged from pasta to pigeon to vegetarian. All was loved and the atmosphere on the rooftop terrace topped it all off.

We were staying at the Nefertiti Hotel, and ate many of our meals at the attached resto, Al-Sahaby Lane. The roof top terrace is a great place to relax, and the server, Mahmoud is very friendly and helpful. The camel meat was very good, as was the pesara dip. Teas and fruit juices are also nice. A lot of guides... More

A bit lonely as the solitary diner here. Somewhat sad to see that there’s not more business being that it adjoins a popular hotel (The Nefertiti) and the food is absolutely top-notch. My dining isolation was relieved with a pleasant chat with Gibrele , the ‘black chef’ along with a relatively steady stream of local Egyptian families going to /... More

We visited this restaurant a couple of days ago. Also had some tea and refreshments at the terrace outside. It's a nice place to rest after a visit to Luxor and the soukh. Good service and very nice talking to the chef, G'briel. Just sit there, have a cup of nice mint tea, and watch the people passing by. Or... More

I was lucky enough to be staying at the Nefertiti Hotel so I had easy access to this wonderful restaurant, which I absolutely took advantage of on multiple occasions. Great service, plenty of menu options and tasty food. What more could you want? How about a fantastic, unobstructed view over the Nile? Yep, Al-Sahaby Lane has that too. If you're... More

This restaurant is vegetarian friendly - The best falafel in town but I highly recommend the Al-Sahaby Seafood to die for....

The rooftop terrace is great to have a tasty dinner with views of Luxor temple, the nile and the Teban mountains. I ordered camel meat and I was extremelly tasty, I had never tried it! The friendly chef Gbriel ("the black chef") came to greet me and we had a really good time. He's such a nice guy, always willing... More

A great, fun place. Go an hour before Sundown to watch from the rooftop a Luxor temple, town and the night change from day to the night's city bustle. The starters are full of flavour. Try the Camel ( tastes like lamb shank) and the hubble-bubble pipes. Our whole family had a genuine welcome and a wonderful evening.

Having dinner on the roof top terrace, which over looks Luxor Temple and the Valley of the Sphinx, Valley of the Kings (across the Nile), and the Nile River, is an experience I will never forget! I don't remember the name of my favorite dish, but it was like a baked chicken alfredo. My family and I had dinner of... More
