We had the pleasure of having lunch here twice and also dinner twice. For our first dinner we had Greek Salad, grilled chicken and chicken shawarmy. For our next evening meal we ate beef and okra tagine and also seafood. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was excellent. The meals arrived quickly and Mahmoude always served us with... More

Lovely food (cooking by Gabrele) and great service (from Mahamod). We had mezze to start, camel stew and mixed grill (kofta, chicken and slow cooked beef). Good portion sizes and slow cooked food (beef and camel) was especially good. This place is set right above Luxor temple with a view out to the valley of Kings and a spot to... More

First of all, this restaurant (to echo the comments below) is like an oasis in the desert of vendors and traffic. We enjoyed the grilled fish and Okra Tajin and it was very delicious. Mahmoude also made us a complimentary fresh lemon with mint juice and it was extremely good. The service was prompt and friendly. I spent about two... More

Travelled through Egypt, found Luxor beautiful but with very dishonest men. We stayed in the joining hotel and the restaurant was beautiful and calm. By Egypt's standards it isn't particularly cheap but still not expensive. Fantastic food with a great view and great service, lovely and honest waiters.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant tonight. I have a condition that means I can't eat certain things and Gbrele and Ahab cooked me something special to suit my needs. Both the food and hospitality were fantastic, and the garnish they created for my wife's dish was amazing. I would highly recommend anyone passing through Luxor to pay... More

Tried Al-Sahaby Lane out as a change from the Hotel offerings. If you want some real Luxor life, then look no further. Great spot, great food, great value. Only thing I can add is a tip for the owners is - please change your Trip Advisor front photo. It's not doing you justice....

Staying for only one night in Luxor, we didn't have a chance to try dinner in different restaurants, so we decided to rely on tripadvisor reviews. Fortunately we were staying in Nefertiti hotel (chosen following trip advisor reviews as well) and we picked Al Sahaby Lane restaurant. whatever good reviews you read on this restaurant are absolutely true. We had... More
