Usually go twice in our two weeks visit but unfortunately it was not open due to the lack of visitors. So we thought we would go to the Sonestas Italian Beban - wish I hadn't see my review.

The first time we went the food was very good. Cooked by a Japanese/Egyptian chef (we were told). Plenty of flavors, meat cut to the right size and well cooked. The second time we had the second chef. No spices, just soy sauce (a noticeable trend in many Luxor restaurants) The grilled meat was cut too large and was consequently... More

The staff here are so helpful and attentive, they explain what ingredients go into each dish if you are unsure what to order. The food is fresh and beautifully served I will be back time and time again. I hope times will improve for everyone

this was our first time in a Japanese restaurant and we both thoroughly enjoyed the service, atmosphere & food. The Myaki restaurant is inside the Sonesta St George which is another reason why we were impressed. The Myaki was so good we intend to visit Japanese restaurants in England, I only hope they match up to this one

We were staying at The Sonesta and had eaten out for the first 2 nights we were there. W e decided to try here on the 3rd night and was not dissapointed. The food which we had cooked from fresh right in front of us was just to die for. We had Chicken, Beef and Prawns with a Garlic rice,... More

We stay in the Sonesta every time we visit Luxor and have visited this restaurant twice. On our first visit my husband ( who is really fussy ) was concerned he would find nothing to eat but the waiter put him straight at ease by saying that if required he could go to the Italian restaurant located within the hotel... Located within the Sonesta, but shamefully under promoted by the hotel is Miyako. In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in Luxor. The service is good and the food is excellent. The Tepanyaki is a highlight, entertaining to watch and delicious to eat, whether picking the meat or fish options. It does cost more than the other... More

We dined there 19 th March, I was so looking forward to eating Japanese (one of my favourite foods), service was OK, but the food was only average. It was not good enough for me to return again. The restaurant was clean.

The restaurant is located inside the St. George Hotel and is one of the two a-la-carte restaurants of the hotel. The staff has told that their Japanese Chef has left for a restaurant in Cairo. The Egyptian Chef that he had trained for several years had took over, and I'd say, he is doing a nice job. I had several... More

We ate twice in this restaurant, good quality food and with tourists being in short supply the were doing a 30% discount, this makes it good value too. The food is prepaired well and looks as good as it tastes, it does get a little irksome when you walk past and they try you everytime, ah come in and try!... More
