The market is a bit of a maze if shops but nothing extraordinarily complex. Primarily it is a curio market and the sales persons can be a bit pushy sometimes but nothing alarming. For someone going from South Asia especially the Indian sub-continent, it is nothing extraordinary as there are multiple such markets in various cities. Worth one visit.

If you would like to visit really local place and would feel the oriental flavor - You should be there! A lot of small streets where you 'll found the jewellery, the oriental souvenirs, the spices and etc.

This is where you have breakfast at the Mena House, but its so much more! The menu is truly International with not only Egyptian, Indian, Italian, but an assortment of pasta as well. Lovely surroundings, reasonable prices, make it a hot spot to try.

This was the one place I visited where there were several other tourists around. Only spent a short time here but couldn’t wait to leave as I was hassled non-stop. If only the stallholders would realise that, if they gave you some space, you would actually like to look at their goods. But with the constant barrage, you can’t wait... More

The buffet breakfast was excellent.with the variety of offerings. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. The dinner menu is varied, and with the help of Ahmed A. Kawy,I picked the veal dinner ,one night and salmon the next night . Make sure you ask for a table facing the pyramids while dining

Disappointing after souks in Aswan and Luxor. Vendors not so friendly and tried to cheat with change.

Dining in front of the pyramids in this historic and fairytale-like building was certainly a special experience that I definitely recommend. The service was great. The food didn't really meet the expectations, it was good but could have had more flavour.

My fellow travelers have put up some spectacular images of the Pyramid views from the restaurant. But if you are caught on a windy day, with sand being blown all around - you can forget the view but enjoy the birds taking refuge in the hanging canopy & intricate structure around the restaurant's ceiling. The hotel is no more an... More

The menu in this restaurant was quite broad. Our intention had been to eat Middle Eastern food but ended up eating Indian. Ironic as there is an Indian restaurant on the premises, but as we later discovered, it was all from the same kitchen so potentially the same chef. The staff were very attentive, and helpful. Even though we had... More
