Sudden downpour leaving small puddle of water at walk path inconvenience the shoppers. The crowd getting heavier as the night wore on, and getting thinner at almost midnight at some alley.

The food is excellent, the place is a dream and the view, there is nothing like that. Service great, as expected from Mena House.

People are nice enough although some shop owners get feisty if you decide to shop or look around somewhere else. Woman: go as covered as possible. Man look at western or "white"woman like they are dessert. So dress as reserved as possible if you want to avoid.

This is the casual restaurant in the Mena House, where the breakfast buffet is set up. Right out the window is the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Breakfast buffet has everything from cereal and eggs to traditional Egyptian fuul (beans). Do not miss the lentil soup at lunch or dinner!

The market is a bit of a maze if shops but nothing extraordinarily complex. Primarily it is a curio market and the sales persons can be a bit pushy sometimes but nothing alarming. For someone going from South Asia especially the Indian sub-continent, it is nothing extraordinary as there are multiple such markets in various cities. Worth one visit.

If you would like to visit really local place and would feel the oriental flavor - You should be there! A lot of small streets where you 'll found the jewellery, the oriental souvenirs, the spices and etc.

This is where you have breakfast at the Mena House, but its so much more! The menu is truly International with not only Egyptian, Indian, Italian, but an assortment of pasta as well. Lovely surroundings, reasonable prices, make it a hot spot to try.
