Delicious Egyptian food on the Nile

My teenagers and I ate here for lunch. It was reasonably priced. Lovely, old world decor. The food was delicious, especially the falafel and the chocolate mousse for dessert. It's an old converted ship right on the water. We had a window table with an incredible view of the Nile

Booked a table at Le Steak / Le Pasha for an early dinner with a good friend & business guest yesterday. We arrived around 6 pm after a long day in busy Cairo so we were ready to enjoy a good meal & we were not disappointed. The very friendly waiter, Adel was there to welcome us & guide us... More

It's a very good place to enjoy food and the same time enjoy the view of the Nile. It's a little high on the price, but it's one of the best on the nile restaurants.

Went for lunch at Piccolo Mondo and the service was really slow. I asked for sautéed vegetables as a side dish and they brought something else. When I asked for it to be replaced, the waiter just ignored me until I already finished the meal and did not bother to apologize!

Went here on a wednesday weeknight and it was very busy. The views of the nile are nice and the restaurant is cosy. The good thing about the restaurant is they also can give you an arabic or indian menu so plenty of variety. The desserts were AMAZING! Especially the nougatine, date pudding and the meringue. The reason I marked... More

Visited Piccolo Mondo last week for dinner with clients from Cairo & guests from Denmark. Had booked the round table closest to the Nile which never fails to impress my guests. The main waiter, Khaled that I happen to know for more than 15 years was waiting for us & escorted us to our table. The restaurant was almost full... More

Most dishes on the menu of this restaurant are served with heavy/fatty sauces. Taste is good, but there are not much healthy options on the menu. Service is good and view of the Nile is nice, but prices are far higher than similar quality restaurants in the city.

This restaurant is one of the group on a boat on the banks of the Nile on fashionable Zamalek island, Cairo. The food was ok: excellent greek salad and onion soup to start with, followed by a good fillet steak au poivre and grilled prawns (nothing special). Dessert with good icecream. But the service was intermittently appalling. We asked for... More
