This restaurant is located in the Zamalek Island. The place is crowded so make sure to reserve in advance. We had really fresh Babagnoush and lemony Tahina for appetisers. (Note: They don't have hummus on the menu). Chicken with walnut sauce was delicious. Om Ali for dessert was recommended and very good. The portions are quite large. Dinner for three... More

The food on offer at Abou el Sid is delicious and traditionally authentic Egyptian. Great for Vegetarians and carnivores alike, they offer a selection of mezzes which is great if you are in a group of friends. You can dine al fresco or inside. They also offer Shisha after your meal with a variety of different flavours. The portions are... More

this restaurant is offering traditional Egyptian food.it is a very tasty food and you feel that you are eating a typical home food. the ancient decoration and atmosphere with the photos of the Egyptian authors , artists and singer remind you with old time. all affiliates of this restaurants are offering the same food taste which is very delicious.

I ate here several times the food is good to excellent. The service was a little spotty. Everywhere I ate they add a service charge of 12% and sales tax of 10% - and I presume the service charge pays the salaries of the staff. They also have shisha pipes inside so if you are smoke allergic - you may... More

The restaurant has a great ambiance and interesting decor which provides a pleasant eating environment. The food was generally very good. The lentil soup and the tagine were stand out dishes. Unfortunately I found my main of chicken with a chestnut sauce very heavy due to the large amount of cream in the sauce, whilst it was also slightly tasteless.... More

Choose from a variety of well prepared Egyptian food serviced in authenic Egyptian tableware while seated on chairs you would typically find in typical Egyptian homes. The round table feature a revolving tray allowing you to order and share a number of starters and entres. The outdoor seating is reminescent of Egyptian courtyards together with grapevine canopies and fountain. Service... More
