Was a great place but is now closed so don't bother going here. I hope that they choose to re-open somewhere else because the food was fantastic and made a nice change from the more touristy places around the Khan.

I love the setting of this restaurant, in the Khan itself, on the edge of Khan El Khalili so it's a wonderful place to stop for a drink or a meal when you're tired of shopping in the Khan and you want somewhere to stop and relax. The entrance doesn't do justice to the place, you assume it's going to... More

Nice decor and overall feel. Good food selection between indian and arab foods (although they were not offering any of their indian tandoori selection when we were there). The service was a bit slow though and the waiter's english wasn't great, but as long as your order is straightforward and you can point to the menu you'll be fine. Prices... More

This restaurant on the edge of the Khan el Khalili bazaar is in a former Turkish residence. The chandeliers are very beautiful glass orbs. we opted to dine on the sofa/divans, rather than at the tables. The best Egyptian coffee of my trip was had here, so good that I had to have another. Every dish we ordered was delicious,... More

We went to the Taj Al Sultan on Nov. 24, evening, for the Indian food only to be told there are no Indian food - this is after we sat down, looked at the menu and ordered our drinks. It was only when we were ready to order food that we were told that there's no indian food. We went... More

The food was good, at least the "local one". Most of the Indian dishes had not been available and the "bowl of spiced rice" with some herbs and mini-flakes of meat was on the very expensive side. Also the drinks (soft/tea/coffee) had been prized on the higher end.... Location is perfect, as within the Khan El Khalili Bazaar! Not to... More

We found this restaurant while walking around Khan El Khalili market and it turned out to be so good that we came back twice. It has a nice atmosphere and it is beautifully decorated. There is a café part and a dining part and the menu is a mix of Arabian and Indian cuisine. The naan bread is fantastic, especially... More

The restaurant is strategically located in the Khan El Khalili market area. Though the restaurant entrance may fail to attract one's attention, the interior decoration inside the restaurant is classy and done tastefully. The restaurant is based on "Arabian-Indian" fusion theme and has a wide variety of both Indian and Arabian food items on the menu. We had tried the... More
