We have found this local restaurant near our hotel. No english menu, but it shows itself. A kind of Egyptian fast food restaurant. Good service and you can choose large or small kusharibowl. Fresh ingredients and spices. The best kushari you can find.

Our tour guide has taken us to this amazing place to try the famous koshary. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but when you go inside, you realize it's a few stories high restaurant, nicely decorated and with friendly staff. We were promptly seated and served. Kushari, also koshary, kosheri or koshari is an Egyptian dish of rice,... More

This is by far the best koshary place in the world. Honestly the restaurant isnt that nice, kinda dirty looking, uncomfortable and tacky, but the food is so amazing you just close your eyes and eat and eat and eat! Definately recommend eating koshary here, nothing else compares... Ive been there more than 10 times and will continue going as... More

My friend told me about this place when I came back to downtown Cairo so I went to search for it. It was packed when I went in, so I went upstairs and found a seat for myself. You can order the 7EGP or 10EGP portion size. I ended up ordering the 10 and if was too big for me.... More

Very popular place, filled mostly with locals. Clean, brightly lit, fish tanks upstairs. Good service - the waiter on our first visit explained about adding the tomato sauce, chilli and lemon etc as we were new to the koshari experience. For others who are new to it, koshari is a mixture of pasta, rice, lentils, chick peas, fried onions with... More

This place is one of the oldest places to eat koshary in all Egypt, my father used to eat there when he was a kid, it is good for tourists who would like to try koshary for a one-time, but not worth going there more than once anymore, the food became more expensive and the atmosphere lost its authenticity, still...
