If you're staying in Cairo, I'd highly recommend heading to Sequoia for a sunset dinner and drinks (you'll need a reservation - ask for a table on the water). The open-air restaurant sits on the tip of an island in the nile, surrounded by water and boats going past but still very peaceful. The mezza and mains were delicious, and... More

Sequoia's an amazing restaurant that used to do the best breakfast in Cairo, without imposing a ridiculous minimum charge. It was a serene place to enjoy some of the best quality breakfast items in the city, accompanied by an excellent coffee. They've now stopped serving breakfast, and once again this beautiful restaurant has gone back to being the haunt of... More

Overall, a superb dining experience. Sequoia is located on the northern tip of Zamalek, an upscale island in the middle of the Nile River. We sat on plush cushions on over-sized chairs on top of wood paneled flooring with fire-lit heaters that provide warmth and light. There were no walls (they did have transparent plastic curtains to close if someone... More

I was there for dinner a couple of times with friends it was a bit pricey but you really get something worth it, they had a big wine selection and the sushi was more than amazing and the shisha was something else! even if you don't smoke shisha you are tempted to smoke!

Very nice place and the view is great, you might need to go early to good a good table. Expensive with comparison to other places in cairo but have good service and good food. Safe to leave the car with the Valet service and i think this is the only option as it is impossible to park there.

I was taken to this restaurant on my first day in Cairo and it remains to be my favourite Mediterranean restaurant in Cairo. It is located right on the bank of the Nile with colourful setting and nice ambience. The foods are nice and service is good. Because it is outdoor, i can be very hot during summer. If you... More
