The restaurant has a pretty good atmosphere. The service is good and so is the meal I had. Comparing other restaurants in the Cairo/Maadi area Sequoia is a bit pricy. However, once every so often it is ok. I still would go back again.

An okay experience, excellent location, but needs a lot of work on the service and the food, the food is not bad, for for such prices needs to be much better. Overall experience is fine, will go there again, but with no high expectations.

Thirteen Americans, we had dinner and paid cash...which the waiter grabbed and ran away with before coming back to say we did not have enough cash for paying the bill. We had to add an additional 600 Egyptian pounds to the pot. Hope the waiter enjoys the spoils of his take. I will tell everyone about our experience. The food... More

I really love sequoia, it has a great view and atmosphere. I forgot my passport in this place and I received it from the manager without any trouble so it's also a very safe place. I really recommend this restaurant.

Pros: -- The food is solid -- Good sheesha -- Excellent atmosphere -- good for either Grinder or Tinder -- Solid service -- just be sure to leave a decent tip Cons: -- Alcohol is rather expensive; either drink very moderately or you'll double the bill. Or triple it.

The restaurant is located by the tip of the island of Zamalek. The setting could be a little noisy for some people yet it is lively and the food is really good. You can go before sunset to look around and enjoy the scenery of the nile

At the suggestion of a friend, i went to Sequoia restaurant during my stay in Cairo. I had a delicious dinner of mezze, then tea (they serve fresh mint with the tea) and shisha. Ahmed was a very attentive waiter and the shisha guys were on it. I enjoyed looking out at the Nile, the boats and fireworks. I will... More
