After reading some great reviews about this place i went to see if it would live upto the hype. We went on a weekday night and the place was deserted. Never a good sign but im not one to be put off by that. We both ordered the fish and chips, They looked good if not a bit on the... More

When this place first opened it knocked my socks off. Real chippy fish and chips, in Seoul! I loved it. It was cheap for foreign food in Korea too at around 10000 won a for a really good piece of fish and a lovely big portion of chips. The mushy peas were pretty good too. Sadly, that was then. Today... First up, some of the reviews of this place are a little exaggerated. The chips are good, cooked in a deep fat fryer, and the tartar sauce was decent, also. It is also nice to have malt vinegar on the table, a nice touch that Brits and Aussies will certainly appreciate, as will any Korean who has spent time in... More

Onion rings were the CRUNCHIEST rings I've ever had. Chips were good. Batter for the Guiness Cod was thick and the fish quality was superb but thicker and more plentiful slices of lemon would be nice. Not sure but overheard someone at the table behind me telling his dining partner about how the tartar sauce is homemade. I'd believe it.... More

I had read many glowing reviews of this new joint so I decided to try it. I opted for the Guinness-battered cod and it didn't disappoint. The quality of the fish was outstanding though the batter didn't wow me. I will try the other items on the menu later but this place has made a fine impression on me. I... More

A good tasting meal, onion rings were yummy and chips were the highlight but only if you like them triple fried as they are super crunchy. Fish was good, choice of pollock or cod. Fish cakes and sausages were fine. It would be nice if there was another beer on tap , something to set this place apart and keep... More

I've had a few fish and chipsover the years but these were some of the best I have had ever, and that includes being from Brid and being brought up on a regular diet of one of each. The batter was crisp and the fish had some flavour; the chips are triple fried and are also crisp so if you... More

So happy I decided to listen to the reviews and try this place out. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great, and best of all the food was truly outstanding. Never got fish this good, or chips this good back home in the UK. Will definitely be coming here again. Thx Battered Sole! Till next time!

I cam across this place pretty much by chance when I was in Sinchon with some university friends just before I left Seoul :-( to come back to the U.S. Its pretty rare to come by English food much in Seoul so we checked out out of curiosity. Anyways, it was.... really good! We all ate different things, I had... More
