kimchi fries

I was brought here by a friend who had been telling me about kimchi fries and that they were a must eat. She was right! A wierd combo that works really well and a nice restaurant super popular with the locals after work. Topped of nicely with a huge frozen margarita! Definitely one to try

Two weeks ago, I visited the famous Mexican restaurant, Vatos in Itaewon. The food is scrumptious and I would highly recommend the mouth watering shrimp tacos. They serve fries with kimchi, a very unique way of serving fries. They have fancy beverages too. Over all, they have a good variety of food and beverages. The place looks really chilled out... More

Perhaps a little over-priced on some items. However, I always enjoy the food here and the beer and cocktails are also great. Shame there are always cues to get in, but I guess that shows what a great place this is.

I joined friends for an early lunch and was quite surprised. I had avoided Vatos in the past because of my dislike of fusion food. However, I can state that the Longhorn Burger has nothing to do with fusion and is an excellent burger. The staff was attentive and service was prompt.

Have been in Korea for 12 months. This is the best surprise yet - as far as culinary experiences go. Did not expect 'a taco place' would deliver beyond expectations. First of all, make a reservation. This place is packed. Secondly, take your time and enjoy the experience. Atmosphere was really fantastic with a true spectrum of spoke from around... More

Surprisingly delicious mexican food in the middle of Korea. Felt like I was back in the states for a brief moment. Ordered a burrito, chicken wings, asada fries and a blue alcoholic beverage (can't remember the name) the food was so full of flavor, meat tender, cilantro, onions-all that fresh. The drinks were strong. The portions were a little on... More

Vato's has a a great selection of Mexican-American food AND drinks mixed with some neat Korean stuff. Kimchi fries? It works! This place is always packed on the weekends and is a little pricey but it's worth it for a slew of authentic food and a spacious atmosphere that is perfect for a group or date. Expect a wait and... Awesome menu options with mexican and Korean fusion. It's slightly pricey but well worth it. The staff is friendly and food delicious. There is also a wide variety of options from the bar. If going with a large group make reservations in advance or you will wait hours for a table. Weekends are horrible here, as in the wait is... More

Vatos is all about recipes that work well and fresh ingredients. They deliver unambitious food but with consistent quality. They have vegetarian options in the menu (not vegan though, except for the guacamole). Whenever we crave a margarita (or 2) and good Mexican food, we go to Vatos. Located just at the beginning of Itaewon main street, this place is... More

love this place! perfect, authentic mexican tacos. highest quality ingredients and cooking. the person below me obviously has not compared the prices here to other mexican places in itaewon or seoul in general. this is the cheapest mexican place and the BEST at the same time. the other ones are not good and think they can charge a lot just...
