This is a spot my friends in Seoul take all their visitors to, and rightfully so. We called ahead to reserve lamb pies because they sell out pretty early in the day unless you reserve what you want in advance. The pies were great, as were the spinach and the potato sides we ordered to go with them. Very authentic... More

Guess have gone in the wrong time during busy ladies night. I was alone and one of the guy just wanted me to take half an hour to finish a meal, pay the bill and walk off. He blamed another service staff to place me to bigger table instead others. Yeah i did what he wish for, 'swallow" my dinner... More

Several associates kept telling me that I must make the 1.5 hour journey to visit this restaurant. While in Seoul this week, I finally got to visit the hot spot, and was not impressed. Easy to get to, Braai Republic is a small lively place with very friendly waitresses and staff. There are very few tables, and each table has... More

As other reviewers have mentioned, the food at Braai Republic is very good. The lamb chops are delicious and the bangers platter is superb. For desert, I had the Amarula cheesecake which I can confidently say is out-of-this-world. It is rich and creamy with a delightful crust I would be happy to eat on its own. The food is excellent,... Itaewon is well known for its diverse set of international restaurants. Serving South African cuisine, Braai Republic was a place we surely wanted to try over the usual american and asian food. We went for their lamb chops and sausages platter - to share. It included some sidings. :) Food was superb. But for the price of around KRW 30,000,... More

My friend took me to eat South African food in the Itaewon district of Seoul. I never had South African food and settled on the Lamb Chops--I had never eaten Lamb Chops either! Man was I surprised when I took my first bite--so delicious! The restaurant is on the second floor off one of the shopping and entertainment alleys in... More

I am a lover of lamb and this place had great lamb. Even my friend who proclaimed to hate lamb thought it was pretty good. Having never had add South African food before I can't compare it but I found it very delicious. The atmosphere was cool and engaging. The staff were kind and helpful. I highly recommend it if... If you love meat, this is the perfect restaurants! The pies, lamb chops and sausages are amazing - some of the best food I've ever eaten. It's a little expensive but when I think about the quality and the fact it's imported, it's actually quite reasonable and definitely worth it. The service is excellent, the owners are so friendly and... More

I couldn't wait to get to the Braai republic as I had been missing my lamb chops from home and I was not disappointed. I brought friends of mine who had not had South African food before and everyone loved it. The lamb tasted exactly how it does from a braai back home. My own problem was that the potjie... More

Thanks Chantall! We try to have the potjie ready for lunch, but as you know some things in life shouldn't be rushed!:) Generally the potjie is good to go by 3pm on weekends though. Hopefully next time you come we'll have a steaming pot of oxtail, carrots and potato ready for you! Thanks again for the review! Braai Republic More
