A small slice of south africa in seoul. Great food and service...on some nights be prepared to wait or call ahead for a reservation as this place gets super busy

Went to this little restaurant in Itaewon. Its hidden in a back alley near the McDonalds, and on the second floor. Limited seating, about 10 tables so I would recommend eating in an 'off' time than standard. We went around 5pm and it was still pretty busy. The food was very delicious, best lamb chops we had ever had. The... More

The thing I like the most about Braai republic is that you can get some stuff there that you can only usually get in south africa. It's a rare treat to get oxtail soup or charred lamb chops or large prawns in a surf and turf ( cooked afrikaans style ) They also have a large selection of south african... More

Simple but delicious food, attentive service, nice owner. If you want a good saussage, mashed potatoes and a pint, this is your place to be. Reasonably priced.

Went here on Thursday for wine night with my friends. Although they had stopped the wine night without advertising, they made an exception for us. We had a wonderful time, the owner is delightful and very friendly. The food is vey yummy.

My wife and I have gone here several times and we really enjoy it. The Meat Platter is very good, the Banger Roll is delicious, but the meat pies are the best! We call them Pot Pies in the U.S., but whatever you decide to call it, I have been extremely impressed with the Pie. Service is very good, just... More

A South African friend introduced me to this place, and I always make a point of eating here whenever I come to Seoul. It's a tiny place and can be crowded on a Friday night, so when in doubt, make a reservation. It's worth it. The food is to die for. I always get the meat platter, which is plenty... More

I know one of the owners of this place and he's a really nice guy. I had the sausage and that was so-so, but I think I should've had the lamb, which brings in the crowds. The place is small but if you want South African food, you should go here. Rugby fans can also watch matches live with his... More

You completely forget you're in Seoul after a bit of time in this place -- the food is tasty, the beer cold, and the conversation interesting. It's a tiny place on the second floor in an alley in Itaewon, but completely worth the search. The pie was delish!
