Great Mexican Food and Keeps Getting Better

I love Mexican food and Gusto offers the best you can get in Seoul. The tacos are what they've always been known for (which are amazing - my favorite are the chicken) but they've also added some other pretty amazing food to their menu. The cheese sauce that comes with the taquitos is some of the... read more

Great food -- simple and to the point. Quality is between authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex. People often unfairly compare Gusto Taco to another favorite in Seoul, Vatos Tacos. Gusto Taco specializes more in Mexican food, whereas Vatos is more of Korean-Mexican fusion place. Also geographically on other ends of Seoul.

Not my favorite food that I've tried in Korea. Very Westernized and definitely targeting more teachers than locals. Good atmosphere for friends and they also have a take-out only section downstairs which is nice for people on the go. Expect hole-in-the-wall Mexican authenticity with a little more garnish and a price to match the location demographic in Hongdae. Had tacos... More

I have never written a review on any platform before, but I think Gusto Taco deserves one. I just moved to Korea from San Diego, and the one thing I miss the most is good Mexican food. I never thought I would say this, but Gusto Taco is home away from home for me! I highly recommend the beef and... More

I had high expectations for this place because of my love of Mexican food. Upon reading the reviews I thought for sure I would include it in my "MAPO-GU FOOD GUIDE" The place had a mix of expats, tourists and local Koreans. The staff was friendly. Nice cozy atmosphere. Food was served quickly, even though it was very busy on... More

Very good food however small selection and a bit pricey. As a vegetarian I appreciated that almost all things had a vegetarian option. The atmosphere is very fun especially on spring and summer evenings when they open up the balcony. Not ideal for large gatherings as it's a small restaurant. It's a better place to go with a small group... More

I'm a big fan of Gusto Taco and go there all the time. I wouldn't call it the most "authentic" Texmex in the world, but what does that mean anyway? GT makes excellent tacos, quesadillas, and more. It's a simple place, but it gets the job done. Sitting in the window seat, overlooking the road, is especially nice when the... More

I started eating at Gusto when they were a little shop in Hongdae, and I'm still a regular customer at the Sangsu location. These tacos are incredible, simple, yet flavorful. And the homemade tortillas really make a huge difference. Nothing beats the pork but their fish tacos are also fantastic, especially if you're in the mood for something a bit... More

I've been living in Korea for about nine years. Gusto Taco is one of my favorite restaurants in Seoul. All the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Their tortillas are pretty special: soft, fresh, and made with really good ingredients. You include a beer from their Mexican beer selection and you've got a great fresh Mexican meal. Highly recommended... More

I've been eating at Gusto Taco in Sangsu for well over a year now and I can honestly say I've never once been disappointed with the meal. As someone who grew up in an area of the US with a lot of great Mexican food, it's awesome to have a place here that can genuinely match up to what I... More
