We came in for a casual drink after dinner and stayed for the live band as the place was jumping. A lot of fun!

It can get very crowded and loud. The biggest drawback is the absolutely outrageous beverage prices. The bands are decent, but the overall experience is not worth the price. Besides, many of the patrons give off a significantly desperate (I'm in town on biz without my wife) or professional barflys. The positive is they speak English in a largely English-poor... More

This place is so expensive it's insulting! Don't bother unless you are on an expense account $18 if you want a decent beer.

This was a great place to go for a drink however you can struggle to relax as it is normally full to the brim, and probably one of the most popular bars in Seoul!! Certainly worth a visit as we had a couple of good evenings there!

Nice music. If too loud? Get a garden seat outside. One Pool table also available. You can smoke after 9pm (after the dinner crowd). Waiters look serious but very helpful. Also, macho looking security guys at the entrance. Makes you feel safe....

What can I add to the above? The (cover) band was really good, the beer was icy cold, and there are lots of rich Koreans freeling spending their daddy's money. Great fun!

Staying in Itaewon

Neighborhood Profile
Itaewon
Neighboring the immense Yongsan American Garrison, Itaewon was once shunned by locals as a seedy, red light district. But within the past few years, Itaewon and its surrounding neighborhoods such as Kyunglidan and Haebangchong have undergone a major revival to quickly become one of Seoul’s hottest areas. Here, trendy international restaurants dot the area alongside hip lounge bars and some of Seoul’s hottest club venues. After dark, Itaewon comes into its own as one of Seoul’s top party scenes. The crowd is a fascinating patchwork of all backgrounds and identities, including a small but thriving Muslim community (centered on Korea’s sole mosque), the LGBT community (with a string of popular bars and clubs), and a wide range of ethnicities and cultures scattered around. Those seeking a quiet respite should head towards the eastern end, in Hannam-dong, which not only has one of Korea’s best art museums, the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, but plenty of mid-range to upscale restaurants and cafes.
