Good price, nice food for a winter day

Tasty soup with dried cod, tofu and lots of ginseng. The kimchi is quite good and the price is unbeatable. We came on a sunday around 2pm and got a table immediately.

Walking distance from Lotte hotel and was open 8 am. Fantastic. The place was full, and I was seated at a solo seat. I didn't need to order because the place serves only one item. - dried cod and egg soup. There were multiple condiments on the table which is overwhelming, but, the wait staff showed me which condiments I... More

The Mugyodong Bugeokukjib, as the name suggests is a dried pollock fish soup restaurant in Mugyodong, just across the road from the rear entrance of the Seoul Finance Center. It only serves one dish, the fish soup and normally you have to wait about 15 minutes plus to get served if you go at lunch time. The service is fast... More

This may not be for everyone However, if you like Korean dried fish soup, this is one of the best. Great consistency having been coming here for years. Good value for money. But in typical Seoul lunch time - line up, eat, get out. Efficient if lacking atmosphere Come for the Soup and Experience

Im not a fan of korean style of soup even after drinking last nite. But the soup was not salty unlike my expectation. There was a cue even after the lunch break. The unlimited filling the soup was interesting. Even didnt refill the soup..was big enough. But just wish few more side dishes to be able to eat with the... More

I am a foreigner and stumbled upon this shop while in search of food. I had no idea they only serve one dish but it was kind of cool. You don't need to speak Korean for this spot, since they serve only one dish. Pretty awesome for a first meal in Seoul. You sit down, they bring banchan (side dishes)... More

This restaurant has been serving only one dish since 1968: Pollock soup. A mere fish soup? No, No. The Seoulites albsolutely love this soup, and apparently it is really good if you have hang-up from alcohol drink. It is light, delicious, but hearty when taken with side-dish Chive kimchi, cabbage kimchi, water kimchi, and cucumber pickles, etc. These side dishes... More

I think it's not worth than it would be. The word "Bugeo-kuk" which is included in the name of this restaurant means the soup made from dried pollack. But I think it's not "Bugeokuk" but just normal beef soup (aka "Seolleountang") with a few piece of dried pollack. It's widely accepted that "Bugeo-kuk" is good for hangover relief, so many... More
