We ate here on our first evening in Tbilisi and chose based it on the Lonely Planet recommendation. From the outside it doesn't look like a restaurant and had we not had the address we probably would have missed it completely. There was no nonsmoking area and no baby chairs so not the ideal place to bring an 11 month... More

Always excellent quality of all basic types of Georgian dishes in all chain restaurants. You see Shemoikhede Genatsvale somewhere? - you can rely on its food quality.

You may be able to enjoy some decent food there, but at your own risk! (And if you're prepared to wait long time...) Went there for dinner and asked for the most popular dishes on the list, such as khinkali and lamb. The annoyed waiter just answered at every request that it wold take too long to prepare them. At... I only visit Shemoikhede Genaysvale" when I'm really hungry, because their khinkali is maybe one of the best in town . But one must be very patient because the service is awful, waitresses are rood and unpolite. One time we ordered 2portions of fries and one Lobiani, waitress came after about 30minutes with two Lobiani and NO fries.

There are actually two of these restaurants in Tbilisi. The one I went to is not in the old town but close to Marjanishvili metro station. It is fitted out with cobbled floors and decor to make you feel you are in a Georgian village. Quite nice, the staff were relatively helpful. You can see the food being cooked on... More

It is nice and cozy place and the price is very reasonable. We have been there for lunch and had khinkhali and khachaphuri which are traditional georgian foods. They have also nice georgian wines. The service was fast and the waitresses were ok. Atmosphere which i liked best really attracting to tourists. The location is very convenient close to the... More

Having travelled all around the country,i tried to taste khinkhali in every particular region. My final result is that Shemoikhede Genatsvale,is the place to get started with the Georgian tastes.Khinkhali were very very good, though a little bit spicy for some.Khachapuri was also great. And the kebab, the best i've eaten throughout the country. The rest of the meat plates were quite average. The decoration... More

Good food, not expensive, in the central old town position, good service. Nice wine, I recommend. They could do something more to make better atmosphere.

Great location near the old town and I liked the way the restaurant is decorated. The food was good and well prepared, mind you they don't give you large portions. Smoke filled and the service was slow and really unfriendly. I ordered a second drink that never arrived. I tried to order more food and was repeatedly ignored. All in... More
