WE HAVE MOVED TO 80 UNIVERSITY AVENUE. Le Planteur opens a new restaurant on Inya Lake, at 80 University Road. Le Planteur (Inya Lake) upgraded even more to the next standard of finesse in quality, standard and ambience!! And so, Le Planteur (Inya Lake) remains faithful to its concept, in a stunningly attractive venue!! It is an exciting and wonderful evolution and change for Le Planteur - but the things you and I love about Le Planteur have not changed. A new Chef arrived at Le Planteur! The team is proud to welcome Chef Gil Dumoulin who will be in charge of the fine dining restaurant.

Great food but expensive

We went there to celebrate some special occasion. They had moved to a new place next to Inya lake. Place is great and spacious yet cosy. They have set meals and both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Food was great and so was the warmth in service. You need at least 2 hours in case you would... read more

Had lunch there 2 days ago with friends, we decided to try the bistro side for the 1st time. Great set lunch at a reasonable price. The service was very good and been lucky to have the newly appointed chef to come to our table! He make us try a new dessert which was not on the menu (pistachio's macaroon)... More

The building and decor is FABULOUS and the lake view makes for a delightful afternoon sipping champaign. I came with a part of 12 and we ordered many different dishes and ate family style. Because I got to taste most of the menu, and have lived and traveled in many of the places that these dishes originate, I feel particularly... More

This is my third time to Le Planteur, but it was the first for High Tea. I had brought my team for a little luxury treat and neither I nor them were disappointed. The selections of sandwiches, cakes, pastry, etc. was delicious. It was a wonderful afternoon and we had a hard time leaving. We all enjoyed it so much... More

This place never disappoints. I have been there many times both at the old and new location. Wine list is great, food, attention to detail and ambiance are incomparable. A mandatory stop for me whenever I can.

Great place with sufficient space for laughter and enjoyment. Landed property converted to a French Restaurant by a Michelin Chef. Freshly purchased ingredients were well cooked to present a hearty meal. Yummy tasteful pumpkin soup was infused with herbs that gave the dish a delightfully interesting twist. Beef that followed was very well prepared and served according to the doneness... More

Certainly a marvelous atmosphere and pleasant service. I remember our first meal there as good but not exceptional. The second time was awful and I hope this was an aberration. Maybe the chef was on holiday. The three starters we had were sub-standard and the coq au vin which three of us ordered were possibly the worst I have ever... More

3 years ago when there weren't many restaurants in Yangon, Le Planteur was always my first choice when I needed an escape from local food and atmosphere. I normally ordered a set menu and went there with an empty stomach because even though the portion was not big, there were many courses, and you would definitely find yourself full before... More
