The restaurant was very elegant with beautiful art on the walls, lovely staff and a nice (not too cold) temperature inside (Fine Dining). The food was of high quality and a nice way to end our trip in Myanmar. Nevertheless, the different courses come at a high speed. We had to tell the waiters several times that we wanted at... More

We visited "Le Planteur" both at the beginning and the end of our one-month trip through Burma. The dinners in this beautifully located Oasis in Yangon remain a truly unforgettable experience. The entire setting is just amazing: we were seated in the beautiful garden and enjoyed the warm hospitality of our host Lucia Eppisser throughout. The food was of highest... More

First the positive: We arrived without reservation on a Tuesday night and were seated right a way. We were given a table in the garden with a beautiful, dimly illuminated ambiance. Lush tropical foliage provides the backdrop. Tables set on the lawn were comfortably spaced apart, making for privacy and romantic dinners. Second the rest of the story: It was... More

Full set menu of 2 appetizers, a main course, dessert, cheese platter, fruit and dessert wagon and homemade snacks and cookies, at $78. A very extensive wine list priced from $21 to $400. I ordered an Italian wine, thought it was a big glass costing $25, instead it meant a bottle. Homemade bread was fresh, warm and tasty with imported... More

We expected a real french jewel in this nice house in Yangon... on the right you see some amazing cases of wine, you feel excited, the chef is Swiss, we were intrigued, then sitting outside was not very pleasant because of the non invited flying guests, and what a disappointment when it comes to food !... The wine list is... More

If what you are looking for is an elegant, well prepared meal in Yangon. Pretension abounds at this phony French restaurant where the bread is stale, the wine is served in goblets that could double as goldfish bowls and tiki lamps suffuse the air with kerosene. Hard to imagine that anyone who has ever been to France could rave about... More

Our dinner at Le Planteur was fabulous. From the return transport in a vintage Morris Minor, to the beautiful ambiance of the garden setting. Lighting, music, service...everything was beautifully done. It's not the cheapest night out...but well worth it.

I loved the food here and it was a real surprise to me that this standard of food was available in Yangon. I loved sitting outside in their garden and enjoying a wonderful bottle of wine with my fantastic meal. The night finished with them driving us back in their old immaculate car. This is a must when visiting in... More

Excellent French food beautifully presented and well served. Superb cellar and plenty to choose from at fair prices. If you are concerned about price try he fixed price lunch which is amazing value. Would highly recommend.

Perfect for business, casual outing, dates or even alone. Compact but impressive menu & also have a very good selections for fine wines. Staff are very freindly with good knowledge of both the food and the wines. The kitchen never failed to impress as well. Le Planteur is probably the finest dining place that you can find in Yangon.
