Experience: atmospheric colonial bungalow, with generous outdoor seating, large private dining area upstairs - obliging service Food: I decided to de-fox, and had the vegetarian menu - whilst I suffered considerably from foie gras and Tajima envy as I watched my dinner companions plough their way through their very generously portioned set dinner, I didn't feel too hard done by... We have been frustrated with the lack of quality this weekend in many of the restaurants in Yangon. Well... that finally ended tonight at Le Planteur. This was an excellent dining experience which began with our smart decision to dine outside. Here's a tip for everyone - there's only 2 tables outside in the backyard of the restaurant. And the... Had a business dinner at Le Planteur in August 2014, excellent service, ambiance, food is tastes great and with excellent presentation. The chef came to the table to make sure we are enjoying our food. Very friendly staff and very well aware of the food and contents of the meals. It was raining so we didn't get a chance to... More

Very nice place and atmosphere. Good staff. Food was really tasty. It requests a budget though, especially if you like good wine (good wines choices). The dining menu is at 80usd without drinks. A main course is between 25-50usd.

The decor is sumptuous, it's nice to be searched at the hotel by an old car but not very convinced for the rest. Probably because for the first time I was sick just after the diner. The chef was friendly but didn't really accept our complaints; still not possible to pay with visa. A place to eat if it is... More

Somewhere at the intersection of French and IndoChinese, Le Planteur manages to serve excellent food. Properly described by other reviewers as a bit fussy, but still excellent. My colleague's soup in puff pastry was gorgeous. My scallops with salad and sliced mango was gorgeous and a wonderful combination of flavors and textures. My chateaubriand appeared to have actually been a... More

Le Planteur is certainly a place for a special occasion, a celebration, and the prices are high to match. Some reviews refer to Michelin standards of food, and I've not enough experience at that level to know how it compares, but it was very nice, very fancy, and also very tasty. The flavours were wonderful. Our pre-booked Le Planteur (veteran)... More

After eating a lot of interesting local food throughout our stay in Myanmar, we ended our trip with the upscale dining at Le Planteur. This was one of those memorable nights when the setting, food and service are all outstanding, combining for a great experience. Dining is outdoor, where the lighting is low but effective (torches are needed to read... More

I had a pleasure to experience the dinning experience this week. Ambiance is amazing. Good selection of wine. We stopped by during lunch time to make a booking for dinner. We were not informed they do not accept credit card. this became an issue since we ran out of cash as we were leaving the next day. Well, this problem... More
