Although Le Planteur may seem like a bit of a splurge, it is well worth it! The set dinner was absolutely delicious and actually so much food that we could not finish everything. From the appetizers to the deserts, everything was perfect. Also, the staff was excellent. Definitely treat yourself to a dinner here when you're in Yangon!

An unsuspected fantastic dining experience. Flawless welcome & service, we indulged in selecting best & exciting dishes coupled by a great Rhone wine (high class wine list very reasonably priced). Most upscale quality of food & presentation, and the Chef kindly came by to make sure! The classic soufflé was the perfect finish! Highly recommended, make a reservation...

After a couple of disappointing restaurant experiences in Yangon this recommendation from a friend was my last hope. And I have not been disappointed! Wonderful setting in a candle lit garden, delicious French food. Service perhaps a bit slow, but that is not an issue at all as it keeps you a bit longer in this delightful garden.

I always go to Le Planteur on special occasions or when I need a good food. The outdoor seating is so nice, and the service is exceptional. The food is excellent and comes in many courses, so go there with empty stomach if you plan to order the set menu. My boyfriend couldn't eat beef, and last time we went... More

If you want to eat French food in Yangon in an artfully illuminated tropical garden and don't care what it costs or tastes like, this is the place! The interior decor seems to be modelled on a bordello - I certainly wouldn't go during the monsoon season when eating inside is the only option. The outside setting looked pretty on... More

Dear readers, I would like to reassure you! a) This contribution is 10-months old but surprisingly posted with avenging details only today. Since then, the management and the chef of Le Planteur have changed. This post is not updated or relevant. We do not claim to be Michelin stared either. b) Le Planteur is a non-smoking restaurant with exception of... More

Experience: atmospheric colonial bungalow, with generous outdoor seating, large private dining area upstairs - obliging service Food: I decided to de-fox, and had the vegetarian menu - whilst I suffered considerably from foie gras and Tajima envy as I watched my dinner companions plough their way through their very generously portioned set dinner, I didn't feel too hard done by... We have been frustrated with the lack of quality this weekend in many of the restaurants in Yangon. Well... that finally ended tonight at Le Planteur. This was an excellent dining experience which began with our smart decision to dine outside. Here's a tip for everyone - there's only 2 tables outside in the backyard of the restaurant. And the... Had a business dinner at Le Planteur in August 2014, excellent service, ambiance, food is tastes great and with excellent presentation. The chef came to the table to make sure we are enjoying our food. Very friendly staff and very well aware of the food and contents of the meals. It was raining so we didn't get a chance to... More

Very nice place and atmosphere. Good staff. Food was really tasty. It requests a budget though, especially if you like good wine (good wines choices). The dining menu is at 80usd without drinks. A main course is between 25-50usd.
