Somewhere at the intersection of French and IndoChinese, Le Planteur manages to serve excellent food. Properly described by other reviewers as a bit fussy, but still excellent. My colleague's soup in puff pastry was gorgeous. My scallops with salad and sliced mango was gorgeous and a wonderful combination of flavors and textures. My chateaubriand appeared to have actually been a... More

Le Planteur is certainly a place for a special occasion, a celebration, and the prices are high to match. Some reviews refer to Michelin standards of food, and I've not enough experience at that level to know how it compares, but it was very nice, very fancy, and also very tasty. The flavours were wonderful. Our pre-booked Le Planteur (veteran)... More

After eating a lot of interesting local food throughout our stay in Myanmar, we ended our trip with the upscale dining at Le Planteur. This was one of those memorable nights when the setting, food and service are all outstanding, combining for a great experience. Dining is outdoor, where the lighting is low but effective (torches are needed to read... More

I had a pleasure to experience the dinning experience this week. Ambiance is amazing. Good selection of wine. We stopped by during lunch time to make a booking for dinner. We were not informed they do not accept credit card. this became an issue since we ran out of cash as we were leaving the next day. Well, this problem... More

I was one of the fortunate people who came during the last days when Felix hat the command in the kitchen. Hosting, reception, service and food, absolutely outstanding. The most pity thing was that it was the last time, as far as I know the place will be transformed into a member club and not stay open for the public... More

The food is very good, it is a fact. It is well cooked and quantities of the menu are adequate, considering the large number of plates you are served. It is fine french food, but it lacks a little lightness and refinement; though the atmosphere of this restaurant calls for the high price, we do not think the price is... More

It's a nice place. However, it is expensive. Food was not bad, or shall I say it was ok. Service seems lost. Took a long time to get my food. They weren't bz but took 45 minutes to get my food.

The place is a nice place for a romantic date or a good night out with friends. Fortunately, the place is just a walk from our hotel. The food tastes really good, serving is just right . Thou it's quite pricey for Yangon standards , it's still a must visit . Order their sea bass , it's divine! My only... More
