Arrived in Yangon early evening and after checking, in looked for somewhere to have dinner. It was raining so Traders was closest so went in. We have stay at Shangrila hotels in many places in the world and I would say that even though Traders is second brand it was as good. Had a simple dinner of Hainanese Chicken and... More

Went during lunch time and they had an excellent spread for the lunch buffet that included both local and international dishes. I skipped the buffet and order from the menu as I was not too hungry. Great services and the food was very good.

I stayed in the Traders Hotel for 3 nights, then another night later and had dinner in their restaurant one evening - and a few breakfasts. For the dinner I was too lazy to go out on my arrival evening so wnt to Traders Cafe - had a Curry (for USD 10 I think) which tasted good, if a bit... More

Staying at the Traders Hotel for the 3rd time in 10 years, I’ve just had a US$27 buffet meal at the ‘café’ & was reminded of just how good the food was. The choice was superb – salads, sushi, Indian, Chinese, Malay, etc. And with 4 of us try most of the fare on offer, the quality was equally excellent;... More

There were many flies flying around. Service wasn't very good. We ordered drinks, pizza and cake (served later). The pizza took a very long time to come. And when we asked if we can shift inside, as there isn't any aircon at the cafe area (suffocating), we werent allowed to unless we are going to order buffet.

At 28 USD including wine/champagne and cappuccinos, I thought this was an excellent value in Yangon. While it is not nearly as large (in terms of variety) as international buffets in Bangkok, it is very well stocked and delicious. Even the sushi, which I would usually not touch in Yangon was good. Oh, and you get wifi connection with your... More

Delicious, yummy, omg, thought I had died and gone to heaven. We we t for supper one night and lunch another day. At supper we opted out of the fabulous looking buffet and I ordered the mango papaya salad. Mmmmmmmm. Hubby ordered the Shan set, he also was thrilled. At lunch, we both scammed out and ordered burgers(it was our... More

We stayed at Traders so enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Huge choice of everything you could possibly want, Indian,Chinese, Japanes, French, Continental. Fresh fruit and good bread and yogurt and eggs any way you liked.

As Yangon is only recently opened to tourism, the facilities at all levels in the city are not up to snuff... and I had dreaded the task of finding suitable eating facilities in this city at the time we were planning our trip. Imagine the surprise to find this OUTSTANDING eating establishment right in the heart of the city at... More

Yangon is a fascinating place, but there are not many restaurants that look safe enough in which to eat. We were thankful for the Cafe at Traders Hotel, which was wonderfully clean and elegant. While many patrons partook of the buffet, which looked beautiful, we ordered ala carte. The service was wonderful, and the food was excellent and very well... More
