Burmese food is not to everyone's liking, but this is one is surprisingly good. Actually, one of the best. And it is patronized by both foreigners and Burmese, the latter being a good sign. Although dishes thankfully cooked in less oil than in standard Burmese, the flavours here are authentic. Nothing spectacular, but solid Burman. We enjoyed the slightly spicy... More

The food was nothing much exciting. My first impression was the old-colonial style. It was an office of General Aung San. The area is now preserved. Visitors can go in and take pictures. Noted, it was quite difficult to locate the place in the dark.

We went for a book launch and the place has a very cool vibe about it. The food was of a good standard and we were there for just a canape and drinks affair but I am looking forward to going try their menu.

This restaurant in a rather difficult to locate and off the beaten track location in Yangon and is so worth a visit. It takes you into the history of Aung San Suu and his time in Burma. The feels is a well established older environment and begs the walls to talk about what went on in the intimacy of this... More

Built in early 1900's and HQ of General Aung San prior to British departure in 1940's, this restaurant is original and quaint. It was a house now converted. Highly recommended for groups (or individuals.) Prices more than reasonable.

A tired old building with some outstanding features. The bar is evokative of times gone by, Aung San's typewriter is on display upstairs- yes, it used to be his office! Food is fine, too.

This restaurant is the what was once the office of General Aung San, father of Aung San Suu Kyi. You can even walk around his small study, and (without your shoes) his prayer room. The lights flicker at irregular intervals to increase the effect (I'm sure it's someone sitting the basement and turing a dial!) Excellent food, can order traditional... More

We were only in Yangon for a few days but this was by far the best place we ate! We at here on 2/21. Service was very good, friendly and understood English well. Portions are large and very reasonable. Menu is extensive with Burmese and International dishes. There was so much on the menu we wanted to try that we... More

After reading other comments on TA, we decided this was a good value for money. We came inside and there were two tables with a huge group, after we moved upstairs to the second floor we thought it was a bit dark and decided to sit in the garden. It was a nice athmosphere and nice seating. The food was... More
