I randomly found Cafe Dibar and have to say it's a good surprise. I tried the mushroom soup and the lasagne and both were very tasty ! The setting is nice too, especially during the rainy season, as it is an indoor restaurant - actually like an Italian restaurant in Europe. The price are quite decent and the location is... More

Went to Cafe Dibar at the start and end of my trip. Enjoyed the food thoroughly. My friends and I shared a pizza while I had the seafood risotto. It comes with mussels, a big prawn and even half a flower crab! Not a bad portion for the price I'm paying. Very tasty! At the end of our dinner, the... More

Lovely decor with old posters and pictures and frames, though sometimes it looks like that the pasta inventory is being used for decorating the place! Pros: - Lovely lasagne - Sea food assortment also quite decent - Very conveniently located Cons: - Very limited assorted of wines - No desserts other than gelato :(

Middle-of-the-road cafe, popular with Rangoon locals. Taking our cue from tripadvisor, we tried the lasagne amongst other things. It was a tasty meal in a home-made style. We washed our food down with a nice bottle of red wine at a reasonable price. This is a nice, homely cafe for a decent dinner and somewhere to go with good company.... More

Having lived in Yangon for 2 months, I haven't been able to find a decent italian restaurant so I googled a bit and found Cafe Dibar. The location is strategically located beside the American embassy making it hard to miss! Prices were very reasonable and the food was incredible. We had bruschetta for starters, italian vegetable pilaf, pan fried barramundi... More

After 3 weeks of asian meals I was ready for a taste of home. This place delivered! Food took a long time to arrive, but the veggie pizza I ordered (plus bacon!) hit the spot fo ~$10. They have good quality italian products on display but hopefully they actually use them in their cooking. You can get grilled meats, pizzas,... More

We went to Dibar with high expectations based on previous reviews. But we were rather disappointed with the food: 1) the extremely small portions, especially for these prices ($8 for a tiny, 15cm diameter pizza) 2) the food was not really bad, but just rather tasteless. Italian food thrives on fresh ingredients, especially herbs; these were limited to non-existent; the... More

I have visited Burma around 11 times and my favourite restaurant in the world is Cafe Dibar. Try the mushroom soup. Its sent down from heaven. The tomatoes in the basil tomato salad are the best Ive ever tasted. Asparagus salad is great also the lasagne. Easier to find and a bigger restaurant in the new spot. Food is always... More

We had very nice pasta dishes and do recommend this place for Italian food. But its nothing special...decor needs work (not sure why they have Australian stuff all over the walls). The bathrooms really need a god clean (the bathtub in upstairs toilet has never been cleaned!). Again... I must say that the food is good and great value for... More

We like coming here as it has a nice atmosphere and good food. It is no way traditional or like italian. It is a bit western but if you have had enough of Burmese Thai food its a great break away and there are ice cream banana splits and lemonade. Fuji house is next door.
