Often I find public opinion is nonsense and I find restaurants which get rave reviews on here that I wouldn't let my cat dine at. Not so here. For bargain prices, you get a generous helping of truly delicious noodles and the service is excellent too. We ordered a third dish between us they were so good. They had no... More

This place obviously comes highly recommended on TA, and while I enjoyed my lunch here it didn't quite blow me away. That said, very tasty noodles and pretty good service, though the place isn't too much to look at or anything. I don't think they served beer, which was disappointing. Oh well. I'd recommend it, it just wasn't earth-shatteringly good.

Found this spot by accident. I was really looking for another restaurant but got lost, was hungry and decided this looked good.. This very small, very bright, very noisy place had very little room to move but conveniently I sat at a table the minute others left even before it was cleared. Good choice. Had a delicious spicy noodle dish... More

I should start by saying that I don't eat many of the ingredients that make up a southeast Asian cousin. To top this off, we have found, most people in Burma do not speak English. The owner of this establishment is a young, gentle, kind, not over hovering, wonderful English understanding person. Looking at the Manu I quickly found something.... More

Absolutely brilliant spot open from 06:00-19:00. try the shan noodles or the delicious and unusual warm shan tofu - actually made from chickpeas - which is served with your choice of chicken or pork over rice noodles. expect to pay around 3000 Kyat (aprox $3usd) I ate here 3 times in my 4 days as it was just so so... 3 blocks from my office this has become one of the teams favourite spots. Great food friendly helpful service. Very good value for money. Got to have the fried bean curd and pretty much everything else is great. Gets busy but well worth a wait if u have to.

good service, good food and well priced. This place was always busy in the day, unfortunately it closes at 7pm. We went three times and tried a variety of meals all of which were good.

Tofu-un normally serve only the morning. But you can find it at 999 Shan noodle for the whole day. Beside that the food is average. PS: the waiter like to show off sometimes. like spinning chopsticks before hand it to you. Throw the pepper bottles in the air etc. :-p

Went there based on reviews from here and LP. My first and hopefully not my last Shan noodle experience. Really good food, great service and very reasonable. Easy to find once you know your away around town too. Enjoy

After living on the border of Shan state for years I've grown to love Shan food. 999 has a lot if variety of types of Shan noodles. Good food. Atmosphere was typical Myanmar but a little nicer upstairs. The fruit drinks were great and the service was great!
