This place is pretty easy to find. Walk down 34th street and look out for the English sign. I came in here to escape the rain and noodles soup was a welcome respite. I had the Shan noodles soup, a bottle of water and the fried tofu. Came up to 2500kyat. Very reasonably priced. The place is pretty small. The... More

It is very clean, although small restaurant. The noodles and others are tasty. Good restaurant in Yangoon

Lunch on Sunday was fast, delicious, and silly cheap. Shan noodle soup with pork was very good (especially with added chili) as was the baby kailan. Service was good, friendly, and the place was clean. Cannot comment on how this place compares to other similar establishments in Yangon but I would definitely go back and recommend it.

We ate here for lunch, noodles with pork and fried rice with chicken. Both dishes were very tasty. Prices are cheap and the service is fast. The man taking the orders was cheerful and friendly.

The food here is delicious and cheap. The service is fast and very friendly, One man does most of the talking and takes orders, and I really enjoyed his personality. He pointed out some options for us and they were excellent. At first I thought the recommended fried tofu was something they push on tourists, but I saw most locals... More

Sino- Burmese people firmly believe in astrology and lucky charms.... Hence 9 is a lucky number so I guess "999" restaurant should be "extra lucky" and get a lot of clients. Don't worry this is the case indeed ! Come for the cheap "Shan Noodles" and "Chicken Nangjee noodles", you won't be disapointed and run to the loo the morning... More

Famous in the neighborhood, known by tourists and by locals as well. A wide range of noodles, all perfectly cooked for a low price. Staff is attentive in this little restaurant. I ate there twice!

I first tried 999 Shan Noodle house seventeen years ago, while writing for a budget travel guide. If was stellar then -- and perhaps even better now. On successive days, I tried the iconic Shan noodle soup and the thicker dry noodles; both were as good as anything at Momofuku (and with a lot less fanfare). I also sampled a... More

This eating house is totally unpretencious in a small alley in downtown Yangon. We had a whale of a time and our two waiters were really exceptional. The elder was Motaub and his junior assistant is San Lei.Ask for them by name because you need to experience their enthusiasm and friendliness. We had chicken fried noodles and sweet and sour chicken on rice.The...
