This restaurant was recommended by friends as one of the best Thai restaurant in Yangon. I do not agree; food was good/averags, but was lacking the fresh light and spicy taste of Thai meals. My reference in Yangon remains Pattaya. Good value, though. Location is interesting, near the Kandaugyi Lake, and a big tree punching a hole through the terrace.

Visited this place after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. First of all, it has pleasant decor and is easy to find. The downside is that it is full of tour groups and as an individual traveler, it can be hard to get the attention of the staff. The food when it arrived was ok, the portion size was average and the... More

A week ago we had dinner at Bangkok Kitchen, which is directly opposite the Chatrium Hotel, Yangon. We found it to be excellent value for money and much tastier than the westernised food available at the hotel. Serving sizes are generous - we shared an entree of green papaya salad (very spicy/tasty) and a green chicken curry (which as others... More

We had both lunch and dinner here, and never spent more than 30 USD for a family of 4. we can recommend the green curry chicken which was not thick but very fragrant. Also the chicken satays were tender with a nice peanut sauce. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, with our preference for the outdoors as there... More

Right across the road from the Chatrium hotel this Reastaurant offers average food but at very good prices. The Myanmar beer was cold and the atmosphere pleasant although the staff seemed indifferent and disinterested. A beef and noodle dish was fine but a chicken and cashew one very average. Would recommend the Bangkok Kitchen for a large party but not... More

If you are looking for luxe dining look elsewhere If you are looking for good food, good fun and a relaxed atmosphere then Bangkok Kitchen is a good choice. We were a party of 6 people and the total bill was less than $100. We had plenty of food and certainly sufficient amounts of Myanmar beer. In short, a very... More

We went to this restaurant for dinner and although we got there reasonably late (2100) we enjoyed a very nice dinner, with good, fresh and tasty thai food. The staff seemed a bit disinterested though, like they wanted to close for the night, but not too bad. A good option if you are staying nearby to this restaurant and much... More
