I saw this restaurant on the Anthony Bourdain travel show and visited just after it aired, back in 2013. I was the only foreigner in there and it felt exciting to be there eating all that incredible food. The power was going off and on throughout my meal, but the backup generators always kicked in immediately and the people didn't even... More

I love the branch near the embassy. Wide range of food to choose from. When I was staying in Myanmar, whenever there are friends visiting I would definitely bring them there and no disappointments so far. They not only serve good lunch, they have amazing breakfast spread too! Be there early in case of disappointment! This is definitely a place... More

Overcrowded, overpriced (our opinion) & average Myanmar food. The good about the place is that it have plenty of selection of dishes from curries, fried stuffs, deserts etc. But we found that the taste is just ok, and similar to those outside.

A short taxi ride from grand united ahlone hotel, good friendly staff. A little out of the way from downtown. Outdoor only no AirCon, often a busy place, authentic Myanmar food with lots of options, many middle class Yangon locals eat here. Prices aren't bad at all but not the lowest you'll find either. They have electric fans but it... More

The second we entered a little while before closing, we felt like we were doing something wrong. We asked to be seated inside–there were plenty of tables–but were refused and instead had to sit outside on the mini plastic chairs with stray dogs rubbing up while we ate. Then, they only offered us like three choices at the curry station–fish... More

Our host recommended this place to us after we did the museum tour. It was actually near Yangon museum and we could have walked there, but it rained. Food was great! Very similar to our dishes (Filipino) especially their beef stew which was like our Mechado. It was just very confusing at first as to how to order because none... More

A great introduction to Burmese food with some very tasty Shan noodles, and some delicious puddings!
