Premium Myanmar Food

They sell the same food that you can get in almost every other Myanmar restaurants, however their concept is premium and targeting non-Myanmar people who want a classic Lunch by paying 5 times more than average MM restaurants

The restaurant has a very nice set up. Mixed of traditional Burmese decoration and Colonial Style. The food is great, homemade and beautifully presented. The table setting is very nice with colorful table runners and great ceramic plates and bowls. The service is very good. We tried the noodle soup with coconut sauce and the veggie tempura. All delicious.

This is NOT the one listed here. I want to write a review for the one on University Avenue Road. How can I do this?

Our taxi driver got lost but eventually we arrived to join our group. The waiters could not have been more helpful and our choice of the 'degustation meal' was wise. Extremely good value. We were able to choose between at least 3 dishes for every course. The food was delicious. So pleased we made it to the Grenn Elephant and... More

We had dinner here in a group of 7. The taxi ride was very slow due to the traffic but we finallaly arrived about 7:30pm. It was not very busy and we were attended to promptly. We decided to go for the degustation menu which was $US12. We had so much food that we couldn't finish it and it was... More

Expensive food, it could be because of the rent, decor or location. Wide varieties of foods selection and good attentive staff. Good venue if you plan to entertain or a quiet meal.

The food and the service are decent, but not more, and clearly overpriced compared to other restaurants in Myanmar. It was nice to get some lunch in the middle of the afternoon (while the kitchen of other restaurants was closed), though we had to wait quite some time for it. What was declared as a “fresh lime juice” on the... More

Service was outstanding, food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. We went for a set menu and ate so much we could hardly stay awake in the afternoon! I think it fills up with tour groups but we went late 2pm and it was fine

If you are looking for an authentic Burmese food then this is the place .It was real pleasure to dine here with friends, the ambiance of the restaurant was classy which has the setting of old traditional Burmese structure (mostly wooden). It also has an inhouse sovenir shop.

This review is for the branch at No. 37. University Avenue, Shwe Taung Kyar 1st Quarter, Bahan Township. The restaurant is a short drive from the Sedona Hotel Yangon, where I stayed. Alternatively, walk along Inye Lake and take in the sunset. It should take around 15 minutes before you reach the restaurant, which fronts the main road and so... More
