Have the Bloody Mary!

They make a mean Bloody Mary and they also have Magners! We had some drinks and a pizza to share, the pizza was pretty good. A cozy place to sit with good drinks and fast wifi.

Sorry, I just don't like this place. I've gotten sick on the food a couple of times, the wait staff and bartenders are not very friendly. And frankly, the downstairs bar area just gives me the creeps - lots of old white guys and young asian girls hanging about. Not my kind of place... I've not been there for any... More

Its a brilliant joint in the middle of nowhere run by a guy from Downunder called Mark. He is an amazing host and with true OZ spirits not to mention the wonderful collection of Hooch he has to offer. Pocket friendly and tastebuds tinkler alright. OK for all age groups to visit.

Down towards the river, over the road from a huge construction site is an old colonial building tastefully transformed into a great drinking and eating place. Big enough to hide in one of the booths from the large screen TV showing sports. Food is a great relief if you need a break from sticky rice. Beer on tap. We went... More

I don't miss a Formula One race and my research took me here. It is a great Expat bar, you could be in Sydney, London or Washington. The prices aren't cheap but the Big Screen is exactly what I was looking for. I sat on a comfortable couch with a wall-size projection of the race, I hooked into the wife... More

This is a pure expat bar. Expect to see expats, hanging around with local Burmese ladies and pouring beer down their bellies enjoying sport matches and pool games. The food was pretty awesome. I ordered a bowl of fries ($4), Chicken Poppers ($5 - I have eaten better ones, these were average), Vanilla Milk Shake ($3), Dahl Samosas ($4.5 -... More

Went looking for rugby and some western food and wasn't disappointed. Sure it could be a bar anywhere and its full of expats but it was super to sit on the couch, have a snack abd beer and watch Wales and Ireland duke it out. It's not cheap so go elsewhere if ur looking to keep to a budget. 4$... More

with mostly an expat crowd. Great cocktails at half price during the happy hours (around USD 1.5...)

I have just had the unquestionably worst pizza it's ever been my misfortune to eat. Truly appalling, I could make a better pizza myself and I am an engineer! Otherwise the place is ok.... no more, but out of date but then again so is Yangon.

If smoking, playing billiards and drinking cheap beer while hanging out with other sports-obsessed Westerners is your thing then 50th Street is your kind of place. Except for the Burmese staff, the atmosphere is totally Manchester or Michigan. The food is decent but no bargain. If you're hanging out with young ex-pats hankering for footie on the telly or some... More
