The theme here is "colonial Burma" in terms of decor. As mentioned in other reviews, the menu is divided into Burmese, Thai, Lao, Cambodian, and Vietnamese specialties. I was with a group of 18, and my feeling was that the quality varied from good to very good.

Our 2 guide books recommended highly this restaurant talking about ''colonial decoration'' and ''very good food''... But unfortunately none was true... The food was ok but no more, service so so and no nice ambiance at all with way to much neon lights...

this restaurant seems to cater to ex-pats and tourists. We found the food good and the service (surprising for Myanmar) not particularly friendly. The menu was huge; Western, Burmese, Indian, Thai etc. In our experience a restaurant that makes some of everything does not excel in anything. That was generally true this time. Our dinner was good and reasonably priced.... More

Wide range of food from local to international that we have problem deciding what to eat. The ambience is nice but disappointed that no wifi available but only at the bar! The service was a bit slow but the prices are reasonable.

Monsoon is a beautiful restaurant with all kinds of food- Myanmar, Thai, Vietnamese, Western too. Very tasty, good prices, great staff, but bus loads of tourists do frequent too.

We chose this restaurant for our last dinner in Myanmar. We had eaten there 2 years ago with Burmese friends and very much enjoyed it. This time we were very disappointed. We had to put our cellphone flashlights on to read the menu. Perhaps the size of the menu should have been a warning. A page each for Myanmar, Thailand,... More

I headed there on the advice of a travel guide . The food was average, no spice, poorly executed, expensive for what you get. And I got food poisoning, but that can happen anywhere... Not. Disappointed.

We were staying not far from here and needed to eat. Yes, we noted it was more expensive than what we would normally pay although still reasonable by North American standards. Our meals were somewhat tasty although toned down for the tourist taste. Our meals, for 6 of us, were all brought and served at once, which was a bonus.... More

It doesn't worth what you pay for. The waiter forget an item and when I reorder they tell me to wait 10-15 more min and It was an easy veggie dish. Won't take that long. Don't even apologize for his forgetfulness. So busy. So noisy. Won't go there again. Food is normal. Not too good either. Overrated

The food here is truly overrated and the only thing we enjoyed was the aircon which was a welcome relief from the afternoon heat. The restaurant is full of western tourists so you know the kind of food served here is no longer authentic . We ordered mohinga and curry chicken with rice. The food was served very late and...
