Especially the Eggplant salad,, yum! Some of the traditional dishes are interesting but when in Rome!! Try the Lime juice drink, so refreshing and suits the food.

Dropped in during a walking tour. Three of us shared dishes. The large menu is divided by country of origin - we selected two Burmese dishes (braised eggplants and pork curry) and one Laotian (curried chicken with green beans and eggplant). We had plenty to eat for three people and all the dishes were excellent. Fruit drinks were also very... More

Monsoon is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Yangon well if not the best, I tried several restaurants like royal garden(which is definitely not worth what I payed for, and terrible dishes) monsoon is rated first among five, and yeah it's indeed the first, I love their dishes(tried several of their dishes) and I must say I'm... One of the few modern places in downtown Yangon. Not very authentic but very neat. Had six courses with some friends. Picked dishes from each of the asian countries on the menu. Delicious food and good service. Had the place completely to ourselves on a Monday evening. The place closes at 11 pm sharp.

I really like the cosy atmosphere at the restaurant. This is the place where I could find some Asian none-oily food in Yangoon. Really make sense. In the meantime, it did not cost much, abt 5000 kyat for one person.

It can be a very hit and miss experience. Great selection and the food can be really good but I have also had a couple of dodgy and below par meals. Cocktails, service and ambiance is good (unless you go upstairs). For the price you really want constancy and sadly Monsoon can't seem to deliver that.

Huge menu, delicious food, beautiful decor, excellent service. We went for lunch and would have gone back for dinner again that night if we didn't already have other plans! My husband and I were talking about the casket of the local rum which was on the bar and within 2 minutes a "taster" glass appeared - the drink wasn't on... More

We ate here yesterday for lunch and 2 days go for dinner. The location is wonderful if you have been exploring downtowm Yangon. Set in an old shophouse, the decor is lovely. Service was attentive and food came quickly. We all enjoyed our food with the Burmese beef curry being everbody's favourite. Highly recommended.
