A great place to hang out for the day. The Beach Bar is famous for its wood fire pizzas, but offers a large choice of alternatives as well. The kids just love playing on the beach with all the free water toys while Mum & Dad relax in the beergarden. Sit back and enjoy the stunning sunsets over Mele Bay whilst enjoying a cold beer or glass of wine. Keep an eye out for the special "Friday Night Fire Dancing" evenings, Tuesday Movie nights on Port Vilas biggest screen, right on the beach and Sunday Sessions with our great new show "Sunday Sunset Circus"

We were told this was a “must do” on a Friday night. Our resort arranged for a bus to collect 10 of us and provide return transfers to the Beach Bar. Cost 800vatu return each which is cheaper than normally charged as I believe most bus drivers were quoting 500 vatu each way as its about 15-20 mins out of... More

We went to this bar a couple of times while waiting for a taxi to pick us up. Great fries and the coffee is good. The ladies toilets are very clean with nice hand wash(sounds silly but this is important). Its well set up and a good spot after you have been to Hideaway Island. You can swim right off... More

My partner and my kids were mesmerised by the Beach Bar's Friday night fire show. I'd been to one before which was pretty spectacular, however this show went for an hour and the performers creatively used a huge range of fire objects, including skipping a rope on fire and all the usual batons and (no idea what they are called,... Beach Bar is a little bit out of town so expect a 15-20 minute bus ride from the town centre and for the bus to charge you 200 pp rather than the standard 150 pp for town destinations. We stopped in here before taking the ferry to Hideaway Island. We didn't spend too long here as we were the only... More

we came here a few times during our stay on Efate. The fire show on friday night is excellent and well worth asking your hotel to book you a table They have a film nigh on Tuesday night - but they need to put the subtitles on really as it wasnt always possible to hear it and another day we... We really enjoyed eating here, it had lovely views and the food was great. We all had fresh fish and it was delicious and plenty of it for a very reasonable price. Go for it...

Had a good night at the beach bar. Meal was very tasty and they catered exceptionally well for coeliacs by having a choice of gluten free options. Casual and family orientated venue with a sensational fire show by the local youth which added to the night.

They,my wife and I were sadly disappointed by the pizzas. Don't know what the cheese was but definitely not mozzarella. Ham was maybe a dozen pieces the size of half a matchstick. The pineapple was also minute and as it is a staple fruit here we were surprised by this meanness. The "steak"sandwiches were avery small potion of gristley meat... More

We have just returned from 3 weeks in Vanuatu. We Stayed in Mele bay and thw beach bar became our 'local' while we were there. Fire show was terrific but get there early to get a seat and a park. Performers were passionate and engaging. Highly recommend. Do try and give money when they pass the bucket around for tips.... More
