decent food, amazing view

Tamanu is a little bit out of town so expect a 30 minute trip from the town centre. If you ask the restaurant to organise your travel, expect a price of 2000 Vatu (and double that for the return journey as well). We decided to hire a car for two days to drive around Efate (this would be my absolute number 1 must do when on Efate as you see so much when you can just stop wherever you want to as opposed to doing a tour) and decided that while we had a car, it was the perfect time to make... More

We called in at Tamanu on the Beach just as the sun was setting. After chatting with the friendly manager, Virginia, we ordered a couple of glasses of champagne. As it was such a lovely evening and the setting was pretty, we sat outside and enjoyed them as the sun went down. It's a lovely setting but we were both... More

A MUST do in Port Vila. Tamanu on the Beach is in a class of its own when it comes to amazing food in a breath taking location. It is one of the best places you will eat in Port Vila.

Read the reviews so decided to make the trip to try it out. The restaurant is situated right on the beach with magnificent views out to the pacific. The local beef and tuna were both excellent and the service was great. Prices were usual for Vanuatu and would definitely recommend it .

Beautiful location - a bit of a drive but well worth it. White sand beach. Absolutely amazing food and beverages. Great customer service. Very romantic location especially the bridal suite.

Staying here was simply a joy....coral walls and gorgeous outlook..total bliss! Very clean and lovely staff. The restaurant was nice albeit expensive..but then we found that all over vanuatu..which is a shame as it makes you think twice about vanuatu as a holiday destination. The locals are and absolute delight....I will come back simply for their beautiful genuine smiles. The... More

The best part about staying at Tamanu on the beach is the restaurant where you get the opportunity to dine there every day. The hardest choice during my trip is what to choose off the menu. Luckily they had the renowned Lobster mornay which was once again immaculate. Out of all the fantastic starters I couldn't help but continually order... More

I organised a surprise birthday dinner for my wife at Tamanu on the Beach and found Virginia to be extremely helpful in organising transport and providing excellent options for the dinner and afterwards. The restaurant is set in a beautiful location and the food was absolutely fantastic. The only disappointment was we were both too full to go for dessert!... More
