Le Cafe du Village was, years ago " the place to go", but sadly over the last few years the place lost its passion. With a lick of paint lots of love and wonderful helpers and a brand new fully equiped kitchen we have brought her back to life. Come meet our wonderful staff, look over our interesting lunch and dinner menus as you sample from our expanding wine list. Come, Relax and Enjoy.

very friendly

We hadn't made a booking but were shown to a table on the wharf area. Our meal was very very good.beautifully cooked fish and mussels. The owner, a Kiwi, was ensuring everyone was happy and was very chatty.

Went here when in town after visiting the local markets. It is a very quaint restaurant on the harbour front so very pretty. However service was very slow (only 6 people in the restaurant) and the food pretty average. Could do with a bit more supervision and fresh oil for the chips.

I spent my 50th birthday at this wonderful place the day after valentines day with my wife. The food and service was so good we came back and was not disappointed. WOW! The lobster was amazing. I would like to thank the staff Sarah and Harrison and of course Dean the owner for a great experience. Anyone thinking of going... More

We called in for dinner one night but felt there wasn't a great selection on the menu and a little pricey for what was on offer so decided against staying. However we loved the atmosphere and location so decided to come back the following day and have lunch instead. The service wasn't great. We had to actually attract the waitress... More

What a treat this place is. It is under new management and they have done wonders. The place has been repainted and cleaned and polished and new staff have made this restaurant a place not to be missed. The sublime food cooked by Charlie the chef is served in a timely manner and the staff are attentive without being obtrusive.... More

We had dinner twice at Cafe du Village, both on Valentine's Day and then again on our last night in town. The restaurant is conveniently located a 2 min walk from the Iririki Jetty right next to the Casino. The food was fantastic, varied menu, great wines and very friendly and welcoming staff, both the wait staff and the owners... More

We went for a sunset cruise which picks up and drops off on the wharf directly opposite the restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try.The service and staff were great but the lobster was too 'saucy'. It wasn't terrible, just not that great.

My wife and I had our last dinner in Vila here. Nice varied menu. We had mussels (which were fantastic), osso bucco, spring rolls and prawns - all very good. Wine very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants. Restaurant is small but very nice - service was great and the owners (we presume) were also very friendly. Ended up needing... More

Had a couple of visits to this Cafe and both times found the staff and the host particularly friendly. Could not do enough for you. My husband likes a variety in food, I like plain cooking. We got both, which was excellent. The Lobster was great value and great taste. (A whole Lobster, you need patience to eat it all)... More
