Great food and setting, small portions, amazing desserts

This spot was recommended by nearly every local we met. Set in downtown, the restaurant has a both outdoor and indoor seating. There is plenty of street side parking just out front of the place. Cafe wasn't hard to find and I eagerly anticipated having lunch as the Trip Advisor ratings were excellent. Got there after 1pm and the place was almost full. Expected the limited menu and my wife was delighted that there was a duck salad, which we ordered together with my Mahi Mahi cooked in a tagine. Whilst the flavour of both... More

The food here was all excellent and by the standards of this expensive city not overly pricey. All the flavours were nicely judged and we left feeling that we had the best meals of this visit and possibly the year. The restaurant makes the sensible decision to offer only 4 or 5 specials every day. Service from a male waiter... More

This was definitely the best restaurant we tried in Noumea. Food is excellent and the staff were fantastic. Many thanks.

Love the fact that the menu is really small and so much thought and effort has gone into designing each dish. The prices are very reasonable, for the same quality in Australia I believe you would pay a lot more. The food combinations are unusual yet they always work. Always an exciting dining experience.

This place had many seated guests when we arrived on a Tuesday shortly after the 11.30 opening. Soon after the restaurant was nearly full! So if you want to go a reservation is definitely in order. Rated number one. We enjoyed they lunch but do not endorse the rating. Has only 4 mains and 4 desserts. As we limited our... More

Au P'tit Café is one of the reasons why we come back to Noumea. The food is still good, but the charm has gone. A victim of its success, there is little warmth to its operation, and the experience is like eating dinner in a fridge. Lunch at La Siesta was a much happier meal. Dommage.

I'd noticed the high trip advisor ratings for Au P'tit, so it seemed worth a visit. The booking off the website from worked well and the confirmation came back within a day. There was a choice of five mains and I had the porc rosti. A great combination of flavours and textures complemented by a Sauvignon blanc. For dessert I... More

Food was excellent, kitchen was super fast (and therefore well organised), service was impeccable. The place is also very charming. Prices very reasonable. If we would have stayed longer, we would have gone back again!
