The tables are fully taken by locals. Make sure to make a reservation few days before especially weekend. Price is reasonable. The chef was used to live and work in Japan. Friendly atmosphere. Feel home.

Chez Toto is a small restaurant of a dozen tables. It is typical French bistro, French chef and French food. The menu changes frequently and the menu of the day is always on the blackboard. We have visited here twice now, and generally the food is excellent. However, on this occasion, my wife was not impressed with soya sauce on... More

This place is authentic. It was full of locals and we just loved the ambience (very french bistro) and of course the food. Highly recommended

My husbands favourite restaurant in noumea. The food is always delicious and the welcome always warm. I love the smallness to the restaurant that creates a more friendly and cozy atmosphere. It can get a bit loud but just order a bottle of wine and enjoy, there is no other place like it in noumea!

Delicious unpretentious food served in a typically French manner. Great service, friendly staff, excellent value for money and a lively atmosphere. Dined there twice and would visit Noumea again just to be able to eat there.

This place is all about the food and the proprietor. Both are true to an ancient form, the food is solid brasserie and the proprietor is solid: Obelix solid with a great personality. It helps if you speak a bit of French but not essential. Saw him the next morning buying his supplies at the local markets by the harbour... More

The atmosphere was more like a friendly neighborhood restaurant rather than one in the middle of the Latin Quarter of Noumea. Great choices on the -one the wall blackboard menu. Good food , good service.

Excellent food & service. The café was bustling with happy diners chatting away in French. It appears that it is a favourite lunch spot for the locals and we could see why. The chef talked to everyone to ask if they enjoyed their meal and fellow diners welcomed us to Noumea & wished us “Bonnes vacances”. We felt so French... More

I highly recommend this restaurant!!! coming from a family of 5 mixed tastes/appetites we all left feeling immensely satisfied and hungry for more! the chef couldn't have been more friendly and the wait staff were fantastic. Definitely amazing value for money and worth the 25 minute wait after ordering. The menu was limited however this made no difference as each... More
