My last night in New Caledonia, Right next to Le Lagon Hotel. The food was fantastic. The chef served the meal at the table, A main, dessert (another crème brulee for me) , half bottle of Rose and a bottle of sparkling water for XPF7,150. Highly recommended.

Amadeus is one of those restaurants that do not initially inspire you when you first enter. The place looks more like a chinese cafe with its indoor water features complete with live Koi and large fish tanks. The indoor waterfall was surrounded with dead plants still in their pots, others with the price tag still intact. Hoses and plumbing were... More

When you walk past the smoky glass windows of Amadeus you are unsure of what you will get, however reading the Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to spend our last nights dinner here. Happy to say the reviews were correct. The Chablis was chilled to perfection, the foie gras was sublime, the lobster ravioli was good. The prawns cooked in... More

Ate twice at this restaurant on the recommendation of fellow reviewers and was not disappointed. Food was well prepared and well presented. We had on both occasions champagne for aperitif and une verre blanc to go with my mains and hubby une verre de rouge. Desserts : to die for. Service was attentive. It also helps if you can speak a... Having eaten at Hippocampe and been a little disappointed was very pleased to come across Amadeus - the service, wine list and menu were very good. The flavours of both starters were delicious and the main courses both cooked to perfection! The truffle mash is sublime. We had chosen a Bordeaux red and would love to go back and try... More

We arrived in the afternoon after flying in from Sydney. As our shuttle bus turned into the hotel driveway I saw the sign for Amadeus and decided as it was only a five minute walk it would be our first stop for dinner. My wife had a fish tartin with mango and mint for starters and I had the house... More

The Amadeus was close to our hotel (Le Lagon) and had good recommendations here. Generally deserved: the food is good quality French/Italian (I made the mistake of going for the Italian food, but my companion was much happier with the French part of the menu.) Delightful grotto and fish pond. Not cheap, but worth splashing out for.

Two of us had an enjoyable meal here. The restaurant feels very French but is nicely informal. I had a starter of fish tartar which was tasty and my husband had the lobster ravioli which he thought was good rather than amazing. I had the duck breast for a main. It was a large portion of tasty and tender duck... More

This was our most indulgent meal whilst in Noumea, although expensive it was very good. The starter of Lobster Ravioli was great and mains delicious too. If you want to treat yourself to a lovely French meal then would recommend. Be careful if comparing the options from the French menu to the English menu as they are not in the... More

We had a wonderful dinner at this lovely little restaurant. The food was fantastic and we would not hesitate recommending it to anyone else. The starter of small lobster ravioli was extremely tasty and the side of mashed potato with truffle (with the mains) was delicious. You might pay a little more here than at some of the other eateries... More
