We chose Amadeus due to the reviews on Trip Adviser and proximity to our hotel and it did not disappoint. This was the best meal we had in Noumea. My husband and I both had fantastic meals (I had pork and him the veal). The veal was carved at our table by the chef which made it quite special. The... More

Very fresh, different local fishes, cooked everyday, on demand. No baked or battered seafood, just refined cooking with delicate sauces. stylish service at your table. Just a bit too long waiting for food if you're in a hurry. Nice place for a romantic dinner.

We had a lovely night here. Our waitress Oceane was so friendly and helpful, she spoke english well. The other staff didnt speak english but conveyed a friendly attitude. The food was perfect. We shared duck ravioli as entree. Mr had veal with mushrooms, Mrs pork fillet with truffle potatoes. Dessert orange panna cotta and a chocolate shell with choc... More

If the facade and ambiance was a little more upmarket, you probably wouldn't think twice about the price, which compared to a decent French bistro at home. We arrived for dinner at normal "Australians with children" time of 6:30 (hey, its dark, kids wanne eat) and were very politey invited to take a seat and have a drink until 7:00... More

Having read the reviews and it being so close to the hotel ( Le Lagon) we went for dinner last night. We didn't need to book as it is the quiet season in Noumea. From the outside it doesn't look very attractive, but the interior is very pleasant. We had mains and dessert and 2 glasses of wine. Approx $120.... More

We went to Amadues on 6:45pm on a Friday night and the door was open so we entered..when we go inside we were told that the restaurant opens to public at 7pm and that we should return at 7 to get a table...so we went to another neighbouring restaurant but I thought they could have asked us to take a... This is really "goumet par excellence". The prices are high but the quality warrants it. Person plate delivery by the head chef is a reward. On the negative, the service staff seem indifferent and inattentive - unless you are a regular. I found this a touch of snobbishness they could do without. Interesting decor with well-kept aquaria.

Food was really wonderful though we were a bit disappointed with the service which was a bit lacklustre. Tortellini with truffles delicious, as was the duck breast and pork loin. Desserts also very good and wine list good also. Decor not flash, but that doesn't matter when the food is good. A bit on the expensive side but worth it... More

Quaint, and well hidden jewel of an establishment... The food was superb, the staff were extremely hospitable and the little wine cellar with it's own fish tank was a nice touch. My wife and I are both in the industry and have visited all of Noumea's top restaurants and have come to the conclusion that Amadeus is the place to... More
