We visited amadeus last night and were absolutely blown away by the calibre of the food there! We enjoyed lobster tagliatelle and veal tortellini for entree and Mahi Mahi and beef for the main course. Incredibly tasty, the lobster was fresh and cooked to perfection, the mahi mahi was tender and beautiful. We enjoyed tiramisu and pannacotta for dessert -... More

Recent reviews of this restaurant were so mixed, we had to try it ourselves. Amadeus was also in close proximity to where we were staying in Noumea. So were went, a little worried that the more negative reviews might be right. So what did we think? We liked it. The waitress was very pleasant and while it wasn't the greatest... More

We decided to go to this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, Le Lagon. I wish I had read the Tripadvisor reviews before we went. I agree with everything that has been said, posh meals in a tired rundown restaurant. The service was not friendly at all.

Wow.....this restaurant was just so yummy!! It is just up the side street from the Hilton La Promenade. The service was great and as I said before the food was just devine. The best place we ate in the 5 nights we were there.

After reading the reviews we decided to add it to our list of restaurants to visit. We left bitterly disappointed. The decor is beyond eclectic... a water feature, a fish tank, silk draped from the ceiling and slate table placemats. For entree we both ordered the lobster ravioli and it was excellent. In hindsight we both wished we'd ordered a... More

My last night in New Caledonia, Right next to Le Lagon Hotel. The food was fantastic. The chef served the meal at the table, A main, dessert (another crème brulee for me) , half bottle of Rose and a bottle of sparkling water for XPF7,150. Highly recommended.

Amadeus is one of those restaurants that do not initially inspire you when you first enter. The place looks more like a chinese cafe with its indoor water features complete with live Koi and large fish tanks. The indoor waterfall was surrounded with dead plants still in their pots, others with the price tag still intact. Hoses and plumbing were... More

When you walk past the smoky glass windows of Amadeus you are unsure of what you will get, however reading the Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to spend our last nights dinner here. Happy to say the reviews were correct. The Chablis was chilled to perfection, the foie gras was sublime, the lobster ravioli was good. The prawns cooked in... More

Ate twice at this restaurant on the recommendation of fellow reviewers and was not disappointed. Food was well prepared and well presented. We had on both occasions champagne for aperitif and une verre blanc to go with my mains and hubby une verre de rouge. Desserts : to die for. Service was attentive. It also helps if you can speak a... Having eaten at Hippocampe and been a little disappointed was very pleased to come across Amadeus - the service, wine list and menu were very good. The flavours of both starters were delicious and the main courses both cooked to perfection! The truffle mash is sublime. We had chosen a Bordeaux red and would love to go back and try... More
