We came here for dinner and the meals we were received were wholesome and hearty the kind that stick to your ribs! Absolutely delicious with a nice bottle of red wine - think french countryside dining. Staff were very helpful in recommending dishes and accompanying wine. As other reviewers have said this is a very busy cafe by day and... More

Well located in the middle of the latin quarter, this provided a good lunch with helpful service and good quality food. Many of the dishes seemed too heavy for lunch, so we ended up having the pasta which was very tasty but still in plentiful proportions. There was a good wine list and draught beer selection. Go early as it... More

The restaurant only open after 7. My friend and I were fairly early and we were allowed to order drinks and wait. We ordered a stew beef and a lamb shank, both are consider good proportion for Asian. Food quality is above expectation. Nice ambience and fairly good wine.

Nice restaurant well located in the quartier latin and walking distance to Port Moselle. Sitting inside or outside on the verandah, there si something that will please you on the menu. From salads to 3 course lunch.

We popped in here for lunch after exploring the city and were pleasantly surprised by tasty baguettes, friendly staff (more so for the outside terrace, not so much inside at the restaurant) and great prices. Would definitely recommend.

La Chaumiere is a busy cafe by day, restaurant by night in the centre of Noumea. We enjoyed our long lunch on the verandah, watching the locals going about their business. Would have loved to return for dinner, but time ran out. For lunch there is a display cabinet with a wide range of tempting hot and cold favourites. We... More

We came across this charming little restaurant by chance. It didn't disappoint. The service was excellent. The good is to die for and the selection is outstanding. We shared mussels for entree and they were divine. For main I had the seafood pastry basket which was mouthwatering. My partner had the apple tart for dessert and this was the best... More

Known as one of the oldest French restaurants in Noumea. Happy to have a light lunch of a ham and salad roll. Examined menu and we are still thinking of whether to go here for another authentic French restaurant experience before we leave.
